Good solid case: as expected from Pelican
Using this product with their matching foam inserts to store and ship telescope and related optical components. This is a sturdy case... not at all small, but it fits the gear in need. Be prepped to pay additional funds for the internal foam as you need.

Transporting my photo equipment I need a lot of space. So for this, I use a pick up. To do it without taking care of the Equipment, you need well protection of it. Peli cases do this job. Yes, they are not cheap, they are heavy, but they do it. I have ordered now type 1740.

As advertised
Very sturdy case. Looks good. Plenty of strong clips to keep lid secure. System to release air is very good as most competitors do not have this. Tested water tight. Wheels are very good BUT no handles to lift or pull (Revised statement - Ordered 2...One had handles and the other was missing the handles..

Great Hard-Use Case
Great rugged case. No issues with it yet and I don't anticipate I will ever be disappointed with it. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for with this case.

WOW-thick, durable, great seal, all that you would expect from pelican but would be 5 star if it had a handle on the side!
