An excellent product; a shorter name might help
This item could use a more concise title. It is, in fact, a 3D Illusion Lamp. The base contains the "works" - an LED light source that can, via the Remote Control, be adjusted through a large range of functions. The light can be dimmed or brightened, the colors changed either in "fade" or "jump" mode, and time intervals of 4, 5, 6, or 8 hours of operation set. At present, I have not tested "life of operation" on battery mode, as I prefer to use the USB plug in. The Shark picture is contour lines etched on a piece of optical plastic which fits into a slot at the top of the base. Be sure to push down firmly on the plastic so it seats securely into this slot. It is obvious that an interesting extension of this item would be to include several such plastic inserts of different objects. This might be done with a modest cost increase but a large boost in sale-ability. For instance, the shark might seem a bit "scary" to some consumers, but a similar whale or dolphin would be more pleasing. Overall, though, this is an excellent product and well worth the price.

Plug it in, don’t use batteries!
We bought this for my 6 year old. And some how the wall plug was damaged a couple days after receiving (not the company’s fault). We tried using batteries and set it in the 4 hour setting (the lowest time available). Being LED and only being on for 4 hours a night it certainly drains batteries very quickly. We went through so many batteries I ended up having to switch his night light. However I believe if my child and his friends hadn’t broken the port that allows it to plug into the wall it would have continued to work fine for us. I just don’t understand how it drains batteries so quickly

Colors are great!
Pretty good night light for my shark loving daughter! It doesn't really have a 3D look to it though. Remote works well & does what it's supposed to- on/off, change colors, fade... Pretty pleased overall!

cool light, not as holographic appearing as I'd hoped
its a cool light, I just wish it looked a little more holographic but receiver was pleased

Cool gift, not what I expected.
I was expecting it to be actually projected, instead it was a plate Like thing that lit up. Still looked good and remote works well. CPR options were a great touch. My 13 year old likes it because he can keep the remote by him to turn it off or change setting.

A bit smaller than expected... but very nice!!
This was packaged very securely! I appreciate that! It was a bit smaller than I expected but that was my own fault for not verifying prior to purchase. The 8.4" height seems to be with the base included rather than for the shark himself. Even so, its a beautiful gift for a 10 year old shark lover. Very cool product! Again, really appreciate the packaging. It really look and feels like a quality product!
