Berserker v2 Gaming Robot – US (Black)

Out of the box the Mekamon had to undergo a software update in order to be activated.That took a very long time and stall many times. After that the robot was operational but one leg had a bad functionning, loosing power and not acheiving the same movements than the three other legs. So the robot could not walk properly and was dragging itself on the ground. No support on the company website, no answer to contact attempt, no troubleshooting guide, no parts available to replace bad ones. It seems you have 50-50 chance to have a functional product.

When you unbox it and see your Mekamon come to life for the first time it’s like watching a baby animal waking up in the room. It’s fun! Kind of like a new weird pet in the family.We tried the AR gaming and the robot is fierce. You can teach it moves and get it to do some cool stuff. Not tried the one on one yet but can only think it will be as good as the AR .It’s worth the money and with all the updates it looks like it's getting better all the time.

The battery won’t charge. The charger shows a green light even though the battery is not holding a charge (as measured by a voltmeter). Robot won’t power up at all so I can’t assess any other features. It’s a doorstop. I’ll be returning the item.Returned the item for a new one. This one also has a battery that won’t hold a charge. I’m returning it again for the last time. No quality control. Don’t purchase unless you like returning packages.

My 10 year old son saved his Birthday money and allowance to get this robot. When he received it had a small issue which the seller was amazing about and fixed immediately. Then a second issue arose which then also was fixed immediately! It’s worked like a charm ever since and is one of my sons favorite things. He works it solely himself and programs it to interact the way he wants it to with his friends and family. He even takes it to his friends houses and they all are in love with it. He makes it wave and excitedly jump and bow and just more than I could ever type. Such a fun robot!

This product should not be on Amazon.The company went out of business years ago. There is NO support for this product.There is NO app for this unit on Amazon, only iPhoneThere are severe battery issues which will make the device non usable even if you can get past the app issues.Do NOT buy.

It's pretty good if you get a working one. You get a 4 legged spider bot you can control with your smartphone at bluetooth range. There are capabilities to create new recorded moves, and a bit of STEM learning objectives with a block based programming interface. Don't expect to do any of the augmented reality gaming from the youtube videos. Ar gaming app is unsupported and not even available for android anymore. REACH Edu app for STEM functions is still available, but the company is shut down. Buyer beware. This is just spare parts without software. And about spare parts, none are available since the mekamon website is gone. Good luck replacing the proprietary battery. Might have a hackable future, if the tech specs are ever released open source.

Great robot but breaks easily. Played it 4 times and now it creates noise and 1 leg is not working properly.No power. Not working anymore.Now it's a complete junk. Waste of money

It’s a very nicely built robot that moves so lifelike. Most consumer type robots do very little but MekaMon can be programmed to move in many ways and of course it also has great play value with its AR games and can do battles with other MekaMon robots. I’m into RC cars and planes so this is fun and different.
