Encoder was missing magnet, didn't function at all.
The encoder didn't have a magnet and therefore was not functional. I requested a replacement, and the replacement was also missing its magnet. There seems to be an issue with the recent batch or the assembly process in general.

bought 4, but 1 of them has wrong encoder output signal which has lower measurement than the others. It would be nice if quality assurance is better

Encoder magnet was missing
When the gear motor with encoder did not work. Looking for the problem the magnet that drives the hall speed sensor was missing. Poor quality control

No Magnet in Encoder
Spent a long time trying to figure out why the sensor reading did not make sense. I finally opened it up to find the magnet was simply not there, making the encoder totally useless.

Good quality
Good quality, easy to control. The wires are pretty sensitive at the connetction to the motor. Be gentle with them.
