Perfect pot, size and quality
Love this pot! This 4qt pot is the perfect in between size pot. And the Speckled pots have been around forever...tried and true. These are strong steel but light weight. Highly recommend. Just wish the sticker glue came off easier. The heating of this pot is perfect for simmering and no burning. It's a wonderful all around cooking pot and you don't have to worry about scratches. Again perfect pot.

Nifty and versatile little pot
I have really enjoyed using this little bean pot! I bought it specifically for cooking beans. Recently, I have begun more clean eating, and beans are nutritious and delicious. I have tried several different ways to prepare beans, including soaking/cooking on the stove top, quick soak/cooking on the stove top, and baking in the oven. This little bean pot will work in every situation for me. I will soak my beans overnight in this pot and then rinse and either bake or simmer. I am able to use on the top of the stove and inside the oven with equal measures of success. (I think beans stay intact better and are creamier when baked in the oven.) Because this bean pot is relatively small, it is not at all heavy to insert/remove from the oven or lift onto the stove. It is light weight and will adequately hold a 16-20 oz bag of dry beans for cooking. It works with all kinds of stove top surfaces, including induction. The one that I received did not have any bowing or significant dents, so it works quite well on top of the stove. Have metal utensils? Do not fear! This old fashioned little pot can handle the metal utensils with great ease. It is easy to clean, and I have had anything stick to it. Granted, at this point, I have just used it for beans, but hey, that was the purpose for getting it. One thing I haven't tried that I look forward to doing this summer is using it in a solar oven. It is bigger than the one I have now, but it is still quite compact and should work very nicely in the solar oven. For the cost, ease of use, and portability (light weight), I think this is exactly the little pot I needed!

Perfect for a solar oven
Perfect size for use in a solar cooker. It's well made and sturdy. It is of a decent quality, and is priced right - I'll be buying more of them!

MISLEADING “NON-STICK” IN DESCRIPTION
I like the size of this pot. However, the first pot I received had a defect where there was a dime size chip out of it, which I didn’t notice until I washed it the first time. So don’t throw out the packaging until after you have thoroughly examined the pot. Also the description says “Non-Stick”, which was one of the reasons for me buying this type of pot over a “Teflon”. After the very first use, the rice I was cooking got stuck and I had to soak it overnight and scrub it a while before I could get all the food particles to dissolve. But I like the pot, I just have to limit it to soups. So I’m searching for another pot that is actually “Non-Stick” and works as described.

Ceramic pot with lid
I love these ceramic pots and pans. I have two in navy blue and now I have the black. The black has a beautiful shape. I cook beans, soups, and use it in the oven for my artisan breads. A++++

Heats up fast. Keep an eye on it.
Be careful. It is enameled steel, but not thick steel, so it heats up very quickly. Perfect for a bean pot because you can bring it to a rapid boil then reduce the heat a lot for a really good simmer. I used it to make chili the first time I used it. I have an induction range and I quickly moved it to a smaller "burner" to keep the simmer low. But it worked beautifully. Good for small batches of beans or soups.

Defective / Lack of Quality / Disappointed
Product was delivered with a chip in the lid of the pot. I purchased another larger pot from Granite-Ware (for stews) at the same time that also had a defect. Seems there is a lack of quality in the products being shipped. Definitely disappointed.

Bastante buena, no se pegan las cosas. Al no ser pesada se mueve un poco al cocinar.
