One of the best easy reader chapter books written. Kate DiCamillo is a genius. Easy to read short chapters that somehow bring complex characters, humor, plot twists and just enough new vocabulary to challenge a new reader without overwhelming them. My kids love these books and I don't even mind reading them for the 5th, 6th or 7th time. I expect a movie soon.

All of the Mercy Watson and Tales from Deckawoo Drive from Kate DiCamillo are the PERFECT reading level for my 6 year old. She started reading these when she was 5. Great beginning chapter books! Clean and respectful content, silly stories, good word repetition, opportunities to expand vocabulary and practice intonation...we sit and read together and giggle for hours!

Great fun for both kids and adults! I have two boys 3 and 4 years old and they LOVE Mercy Watson. Of all the Mercy Watson books, this one is their favorite. Takes about 20 minutes to read at a steady pace, longer if the kids are asking questions.

My kids ADORE all the Mercy Watson books, and I love reading them aloud! We plowed through the whole series one summer when the kids were 4 & 6. Such great characters and easy-to-follow, funny, clever plots. We will read them all again I’m sure!

These books are a must have on every child’s bookshelf. They are just as enjoyable the first time as they are the 87th. DiCamillo’s characters are so funny and enjoyable. She really does a great job of capturing kids’ interest with the Mercy Watson series.

Our 2nd grade book club enjoyed reading this book. Most of us thought it was fantastic and would read it again. Mercy Watson was silly, clumsy, and clever! This book would be good for first and second graders. Even though most of us like the book, some of us didn't.

My 6 year old loves these books. Very colorful, beautiful, humorous cute story of a pig. She takes out the books on her own and reads them again and again.

Great series of books for around a gr2.... They're not long , nice colourful illustrations and gives a child sens of accomplishment reading a series of books.

We have three of the Mercy Watson books and we love them. Our daughter is 6 years old and loves when we read them to her and she is also now able to read them herself. The stories are well written, funny, and interesting. The illustrations also make the book enjoyable. We would absolutely recommend this series to others and hope to get more of them for our family.

Y luego no nos dimos cuenta que era para más pequeños. Lo leeremos, pero pienso que Amazon debería advertir mediante una ventana de diálogo que estamos comprando un libro incompatible para la Kindle que tenemos, ya que está registrada.
