Anaglypta Dado Panels Oriental Wallpaper - RD06700

I wanted some thing a bit different. This was easy to do . I’ve got it in my hall and going up stairs as yet I’ve not decided on a colour to paint itI have just started painting

Good quality paper, flat backed so easy to apply. Easy to trim to fit required height. Had to be a bit creative when going up stairs but careful cutting along the pattern helped to hide joins. Two coats of vinyl silk to finish. Overall very happy with end result. I am not a professional decorator.

I purchased this paper based on the really good reviews and I’m so glad I did. We were completely decorating our lounge and fitting a new dado rail. I needed a paper suitable to go on the lower half under the dado rail. I really liked the panel effect on this paper and the fact that it’s fitted horizontally in one long strip. So the paper arrived ( I ordered two rolls) in perfect condition. I checked that the codes matched which they did so I knew the pattern came from the same batch. The rolls are 142cm wide ( the drop from the dado rail down). The length is 6.72 metres long…22.04 foot approximately. In the write up the measurements are confusing as it says 7.12 m squared. So 1.06m deep x 6.72 m long. The two rolls were plenty for my needs. It says you can paste the paper or the wall. I chose to paste the wall using a brush and good quality wallpaper paste. I would strongly recommend pasting the wall as it worked brilliantly and most people wouldn’t have a paste table big enough to take this roll anyway. The heavily patterned part is the top and the pattern allows you to trim away the bottom without affecting the panels. You have approximately 26 cm available to trim before you would impact the panels so check your dado rail is high enough to fit this paper in. The paper was so easy to fit but you definitely need to make sure your dado rail is level all across the wall so that you can just butt the paper up to the underneath and trim the bottom. When it comes to wallpapering round plugs we decided to very carefully measure exactly where the plug would be and cut out a hole before applying the paper to the wall. Obviously we cut a hole smaller than the socket, pulled the socket away from the wall and tucked the paper in. This worked very well for us and luckily we were spot on with our measurements. We also reduced the drop length before applying the paper so we didn’t have too much to trim off and it was easier to manhandle . We used a scalpel to trim the paper so we didn’t have to peel it up to trim it. The paper smoothed really well but I’d recommend not pressing on too hard with your brush or smoothing tool. The paper is very strong as it has a sort of shiny backing but you don’t want to disrupt the raised pattern. We had virtually no waste and papered the whole bottom section of the room in a day. My pictures show the finish unpainted so that’s my next job. I am allowing 48 hrs to allow it to completely dry before painting to avoid any bubbling. I can’t stress enough how impressed I am with this paper. Even a beginner could fit this quickly and end up with excellent results. It was easier with two of us working along the wall together but you could fit this on your own by keeping it in a roll and unraveling it as you go along. So in conclusion if this will fit under your dado rail and you like the pattern then I would have no hesitation in recommending it. Superb quality, so easy to fit and an excellent end result.

This paper seemed really nice quality however, unfortunately it was returned because the decorating had been completed without my prior knowledge as a surprise and therefore the items were no longer needed. The return and refund was straight forward and prompt. You only actually know how good a seller is when it comes to returns or dealing with issues. This seller was great, thank you.

This product was brilliant. Covered up the cracks on the wall. Quick to finish as it's larger than normal wallpaper.
