I did install the item pretty easily though locking it in was a tad difficult. It did "pick up" the notes BUT the Volume and Tone controls had NO EFFECT on the input. I also couldn't get the small panel that contained the Volume and Tone controls to keep from interfering with my strum. I tried it disconnected and it hung heavily on the side of the guitar. I reversed it and put it on the other side of the strings and it still interfered with strumming. It worked, thus avoiding the "1" rating, but it follows the old addage....you get what you pay for!

I was expecting the worst from this, but I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality. My only complaint is it's a bit hard to position so it doesn't touch the strings, but once you have it in place it's fairly secure.

I ordered this product and it came in defective. I decided to return it and repurchase it - came in defective again.

Not the greatest but works as expected
