I bought this for my grandson and I think I had more fun playing with it. It really does what it says as far as being molded in shapes and easy clean up. The tools they give you and shapes really help in teaching the child shapes, colors and tools. Helps with motor skills greatly. My grandson is 3 1/2. I will purchase more and use a gifting this is a great product.

Kids LOVE the kenetic sand great product for the money. Love the yellow tarp to put down. But the kids end up getting everywhere anyways. Ease of clean up?? Umm its sand lol. It all depends on where u let them play w it. Lol. But I can just vacuum up the left over. Now that part is easy. The toys that come with it and the box it comes in are all great items that it comes with. Along w the tarp. Excellent buy.

First, DO NOT play with this inside if you have little kids. It is very messy. It does stick together in the molds nicely, but not in a way that makes it easy to clean up. More like damp beach sand.The mat alone does not cut it unless you want sand everywhere. I put it in some shallow plastic tubs. Much easier to put away and keeps the mess very minimal. Use the mat for kids to sit on to catch any excess sand that they spill.Great set though for the price, lots of toys with it and great for summer time fun. My toddlers enjoy it.

I bought this last year as a gift for my 7 year old great nephew. It's been a big hit with him and his family! Over the last year he's played with it often, and it is still going strong! Just today I was sent a picture of him and his 2 year old cousin creating with the sand as a rainy day activity where they live. It's provided hours of fun, sparked creativity and kept the interest of the kids.

Yes, it’s messy but when you have kids it’s all messy. My 3 year old loves the sand. I recommend you get a sand box to put it in even though my kid still manages to get it on the floor it’s not as much. It’s easy to clean up and the best part is it doesn’t dry up. Upon opening it the sand is hard but I found that your body temp heats it up and softens it up.

I love that this set comes with the big mat and all the tools and molds to build with. The sand quality itself is meh. It's good enough but if you've tried the other ones out there you know there are better options. Yes this one's gives you more sand than most (5lbs vs 1-3lbs) but you loose some quality. We bought my husband a different brand one for his birthday and the sand was so cool! Other brands have sand that seem almost liquid when they break apart. I’m glad at least that I have so many molds from this kit that I can now use with other sand. The consistency of this sand when it's not in the molds is kind of clumpy and can be packed together like snow.

Update: Amazon sent me a new product that was not damaged and had a hard plastic band around the case that was pristine! Thanks Amazon! Can't wait to gift this product!So far I am impressed by the product, but I am highly disappointed because upon delivery the nice tote it comes in was missing a latch on the side to keep the lid on. It would be nice to just have it contained well. Otherwise, this should make a great gift. It comes with a ton of sandcastle play stuff.

Purchased this for my 6 year old grandson. The phone call I received from him was my gift. He & his mama were thrilled with the smart sand. He asked me to watch him (via FaceTime) as he played with the sand, using all the colors. Great gift for him! He calls me the “fun grandma”. Works for me.
