Husband had been wanting to try one of these
so I went for a cheap model "just in case" he decided he didnt like it after all. So far so good. We use the radio as an alarm. And the sound quality is pretty good. Light is nice to wake up to, even though I am usually up long before he has it set to begin.

Not for me
This is a nice concept but I am very light sensitive so once this starts it wakes me up but for those that want a slow wake up, this might be good.

Too bright no Off switch for alarm
There seems to be no option to turn OFF the light and sound once the alarm/light starts to go off. A bit brighter than I’d hoped for.

I like it.
Love the sunrise simulation. Moderately easy to use. The sounds are not exactly real sounding but good enough. Overall, I really like this as an alarm clock.

DOA - Did not work
Unfortunately, the clock I received did not function out of the box, no matter what I tried. It was simply DOA, so I cannot speak to how well it works.

Nice clock
Nice clock and my kids love it Its a bit complicated to use but once you get to know it it's very useful and light works as described. Very happy with it

Attractive and Good Quality But Not Super User Friendly
Out of the box I thought this was the perfect size, very attractive, and good quality. You can feel the quality when you hold it. Overall very nice. But generally speaking, it is not super user friendly. Here are my three nits, not big issues if you're not super picky or if you don't sleep with a partner that is sensitive or easily woken up. But I definitely deducted some stars for the following reasons:1. Not Intuitive. Must read the instruction manual or you won't really be able to figure out how to use it. It's got lots of buttons and icons but overall I did not find it intuitive to use at all. It took me longer than anticipated just to set the time for the first time. When my husband first saw this he said "cool clock" and began playing with all the buttons but after a while he was like "how do you use this thing?" An alarm clock shouldn't be like that. Buttons should be self explanatory and straightforward. I would prefer if I could operate my alarm clock half asleep or in the dark but not this. However, if it is set up and you don't need to change anything, then it's great2. Sound/Volume. While the pre-programmed alarms are nice and the AM/FM tuner works well, I do have an issue with the volume. It starts from 0 (no sound) and goes up from there. But from 0 to 1 is a big difference and there is nothing in between. For me, it goes from no sound to too loud. And this volume issue is for both the pre-programmed alarms as well as AM/FM radio.3. The nicest colored light is the amber. It is nice and soft and perfect as a bedside night light. Gives off just enough light for me to check my cellphone, or so a few things before going to bed. And it doesn't disturb my husband. However... when I go to turn it off, it cycles to another color before turning off...which is glaring and so much brighter. So My husband and I are both blinded before we go to bed

Stick with the Philips
I have an older Philips wake up light, and their new version. Both were excellent in quality and function. This is, in every way, a cheap knockoff.Material quality - not as good. Not as precision made, parts don't line up that well.LED color - that's one thing the Philips doesn't do. But it does not persist. Pick a color other than white that you want, turn it off, and when you go to turn it back on, it reset to default. Not nearly as visually appealing either, with the buttons right on the front rather than around the edge. At least make them less obvious like the Philips did if you want them on the front.Sunrise and sunset light, both adequate. But again, not as well done as the Philips they're trying to emulate...
