Less than six months after purchasing, some of the planks have warped and one is so bad that it has popped off.

For $80, I would expect a doormat to be perfect. This one has excellent brushes which are very effective, in fact, the most effective from my experience. BUT, the wood frame pieces are attached by staples and are not attached to each other securely. When the mat is used, the frame pieces move which is problematic and will certainly become a bigger problem down the line when the wood frame pieces come apart from each other.
