Hypertech 52500 Max Energy Power Programmer

I have had Hypertech programmers before and have found them to be a good product. This is my first one for a diesel and I was hoping for a little better performance and maybe a little better economy. Little did I know that this would do both so well.I started with Stage 3 programming. There was a very marked improvement is power and milage went up over 3 MPG.I then tried Stage 2, which is recommended by Hypertech because I tow a 13000 pound trailer. Power is still very good and I am getting a 4 MPG increase.Of interest to note, Hypertech wants you to sign a release for the Dodge Cummins 1998 thru 2002 because the claim there may be a problem with an ECM failure thru no fault of their programmer. I looked on line to see if I could find any further information about that and found nothing. Checked with my local Cummins guys and again found no further information. Went on ahead with the install and it went off without any issues. Couldn't be any simpler.Also of interest to note, Hypertech designed this to work on a stock truck, so you do not need to install an intake or exhaust to get very good results. This means you get a lot of performance and economy for a rather small investment as compared to other programmers.

Good product did everything it promised, had to update it on website.Easy to use and hook up will see how it does in the future.

What they don't tell you is if you order this for a dodge diesel the only way they will unlock the program is if you agree to not hold them responsible if thier program destroys you trucks ECM which he said it had about a 35% chance of doing if they would have just put the disclaimer on the product description i wouldnt have wasted my time i understand some people dont mind taking that risk but im not one of them they told me the average cost to replace the ECM in my truck was around 1600 dollars at least they did tell me before i destroyed my truck but the could have saved me a whole lot of time in the first place

It works on 2001 ram. When you get it and plug it in it's set for 02/03 ram just have to go on hypertech website and update it for 01 ram gas 5.2 5.9 gas. I have the 5.9 or 360. Went from 11 mile to gallon to 16 major power increase as hypertech power promised its awesome very good performance product

Disappointed! Everything I read said I could set the computer for tire size. You can't for a 2001 Jeep wrangler. The jeep does run stronger now that the programming has been changed. Customer service at Hyper tech was Great! When I first attach the unit to the jeep it said that it did not support a Jeep, one phone call later to Hypertech, and I had simple to follow instructions to fix the issue. I read the instructions first, I think the fix should of been in there so I would not of had to make the call. I gave it a 3 star because of misleading advertising and incomplete instructions. For this price I don't think there should be any surprises.

After sitting on the shelf for 8 months I finally got around to using it. It was blocked from working out of the box by the mfg. Had to call them to get it unblocked. After all that I was only able to use 2 of its features, speedo calibration and power settings. Everything else was unavailable for my vehicle. Save your money and get a real programer.

I bought this Hypertech 52500 Tuner, but had an issue with my 1999 Dodge Ram with a Cummings engine at first. I contacted Hypertech Tech Support and they were extremely helpful to me with getting this tuner to work. It made a HUGE difference in the power and performance in my truck. It is like giving the engine a shot of "B-12 Vitamins"...it increased my HP on setting number 2 by 40HP. You can't go wrong with the Hypertech Tuner. The biggest thing is don't try to buy one that is used off eBay or Craigslist. I had bought one off eBay thinking I could save some money and found out that tuner was not returned back to factory settings...so I could not use it...seller refunded my money and paid for return shipping.

My husband was fairly pleased with this gift. I would buy it again. Thank you.
