Must have for diabetics
I bought this for my trip to East Africa where there is very limited refrigeration and my expectations were knocked out of the park. It kept 10 bottles of insulin cold for up to a month at a time. It's a little heavy when the gel is activated, but it's absolutely worth it. If diabetics are traveling anywhere this is a must have. Just don't put the bag itself in the fridge or the gel will freeze and it takes a while before you can reactivate it normally.

Two Epi's and an Inhaler
Just wanted to mention for those of you using Epipens....I debated between the Large and XL. We need to hold two Epipens and an inhaler. I bought the XL and I'm glad I did. It will hold the two Epipens in their plastic cases, plus an inhaler without any problem. I believe for the Large, it would work. But according to another reviewer you would have to remove the Epi's from their cases, and the velcro would not close all the way. I didn't want to have to remove them from their case, nor worry about jamming things in there and the temp being affected by unsecured velcro. For those of you in a similar situation, I would go with the XL.

Really Happy
I really like it. I was skeptic at first but I used it for 18 hour long flight. It did kept insulin cold and safe. Thanks

worked better than expected
Took it on a desert safari where I had no access to refrigeration, and the Frio cooling wallet (extra large) managed to keep probiotic bottles and blister packs a good +/- 20 degrees F cooler than the 109 F afternoon temperature in our tent. I used cool tap water every night to recharge the crystals in the pouch for optimum results. Note that "extra large" still has limited room inside when fully "charged"

Not suitable for growth hormone
I gave 3 stars as I assume it would be great for storing insulin. However it’s not the case for me, as I bought for growth hormone and it can’t be stored in frio bag

it does keep it cool at a stable temperature
I used the cooling wallet for two weeks with no access at all to refrigeration while in Europe. I was able to put 6 insulin pens (backups) as well as an unused vial of insulin (backup) inside it. While it does not keep the insulin cold, it does keep it cool at a stable temperature. It was very easy to use: just place it under cool/cold water (I used a sink) for up to 10 minutes. I only had to "recharge" it twice over the two weeks. The vial of unused insulin worked fine when finally used. A very effective low-cost solution to temporary insulin storage.

It's good, not great
It performed as described, would have been better if it could stay cold longer.
