It does a pretty good job
I like how compact this is. Perfect for bicycle tires and beach toys. You can use it to inflate car tires, but expect it to take a long time, and be sure to let it rest every 5 pounds or so. From the battery of my subcompact car, it won't reach to my back right tire.

works good, made cheaply

Only good for a couple of uses
Worked a total of two times topping off a motorcycle tire. Then died/shorted out.

Small tire compressor
This item performs well in The job for which it was designed.Multi use compressor designed for all ATV's, UTV's, motorcycles, bicycles, and sports equipment. This item was never designed to inflate car or truck tires. The advantage of this pump is in its portability. This fits well In my motorcycle tank bag because it's soo small. In my test it took 10 minutes to inflate my rear motorcycle tire from flat to 36psi. The small pressure gauge is perfect but it seems to read 2psi high...which is not a big deal for its portability. The multiple ways to connect to a power source is great. I am using my existing battery tender connection. I was not able to get the entire pump and accessories in the carry bag but once I shelved the connections I didn't need to bring with me I was able to get the rest in the bag. Before shedding connections, everything but the air hose fit in the bag. This pump gets warm and I would only use it for 10-15 minutes at a time before letting it cool down.If storage space is not an issue go with a bigger pump, this pump purposely trades power and run time for space.

Choked, sputtered and died
I got the pump, and immediately put it to the test. It sputtered a bit, and shopped, burning the fuse it connected through. With a new fuse I tried again. It would work for a few seconds then stop. Then it would start again and stop again. After a few times it stopped and wouldn't restart, so back it goes. I wouldn't trust this pump to fill my tire on a dark deserted road.

Cost effective, does the job!
Yeah, it gets real hot. But when a friend's front motorcycle tire got low out in the middle of nowhere, it did the job. I couldn't find any compressors any smaller or more affordable than this one. After you take the chuck off the tire valve allow the compressor to run 30 additional seconds to cool ITSELF down before disconnecting power or switching it off, and THEN wait 2 minutes before you try and unscrew the hose which has indeed gotten VERY hot --- just like the manufacturer WARNED YOU it would.A company called Motopumps makes an even smaller compressor especially for motorcycles, it appears to be a very high quality unit but it sells at a significant premium over this unit. IMHO this one is "good enough!"

Very disappointed in this unit
I purchased this back in Aug 2012 and tucked it into my e-kit I carry on the bike. This past weekend I went to use it and I was able to turn it on a few times, then it just died.Lucky for me I'd gotten enough air in before it decided to quit. And now of course it's too late to return for warranty or refund.I would NOT recommend this pump.
