Installed on Ducati V4S
This is a great accessory to hold one's phone. It was a bit challenging, due to the forkstem situation on the new Ducati superbikes, but we made it work. The interesting thing about this product I just learned, and this is the 3rd I've purchased, RAM offers a lifetime warranty on this product. How amazing is that!?!? I will continue to purchase this reliable product from that standpoint alone. The only suggestion I have is for RAM to bring back the different sizes of the rubber safety harness for the phone. I normally purchase the large holder but went with a smaller one due to the rubber safety harness not working well with my phone and the large X-grip.

CBR 600RR RAM Mount Is Awesome!!
My 'RAM Mount' came in the mail yesterday and I was excited to install it so I don't have to keep my phone in my pockets anymore. Once I opened the package, it came with a set of instructions and a bunch of loose washers and other pieces I was sure I was going to lose because I had no clue what pieces I would need to install this awesome accessory!!The instructions were pretty easy to follow to install the mount. The only problem I had with installing the 'Ram Mount' was the rubber cone you had to fit in the down tube hole and cut. It stated in the instructions to 'cut about 1/8" of an inch above where the top of the down tube is on the cone...' Well, I am a guy that likes to err on the side of caution, so I cut the rubber cone a little more than 1/8". Well i was wrong when i did that. It took me a little bit longer to install, and a few trim jobs to get the rubber piece to fit into the downtube hole correctly. After finding an alan wrench that fit the screw head that tightened the mount in the down tube, I started turning! The screw turned but didn't tighten up and fully 'Secure' the mount. It can still rotate and move a little but found out that does not matter and will still function great, keeping my phone out of the way of the dash, and turning radius.

Hardware not hard enough
Hardware not hardened. This ram mount was what I was looking for in terms of mounting my phone on my bike. However I was a bit surprised with two items in the hardware kit. First, the rubber grommet and the adjustment screws. After watching the YouTube videos in regards to install, it made it seem that the ram mount would not move inside the stem. I have unfortunately come to the conclusion that is not accurate. The video explains that you would have to keep tightening the Allen head screw in order to keep it from spinning in place. The screw provided seemed softer than normal, in the sense that once a certain amount of torque was applied to the screw, it would start to marr the inside of the head. Now I know what you are thinking, perhaps maybe I was using an Allen key that was not big enough. But I can assure you that my hardened craftsman Allen keys were an exact fit for the screw. I can only assume that the metal that the screw Was made from is just not hardened enough.Luckily they brilliantly put another screw in the kit so I could attempt to tighten it down again a second time without putting too much torque on the screw head. With the second screw I was able to get it close enough so that it reduces the spin but not enough so that I won't strip the head and will be able to remove the mount in the future if need be.It would be nice if they sold separately just the rubber stem or hardware kit individually.I will have to check the local hardware store for another screw that will work with this setup but will be more resilient to the torque needed to keep the stem from spinning.I am giving this one star because for the price I expected harder screws.

Very high quality mount but putting it on is a project in itself.
Every piece arrived in good condition. Very high quality. The instructions were meh. They tell you the basics but when you really get to work you have to tailor the rubber pieces unless you get it perfect first try. I spent 2.5 hours cutting away at material and super gluing little parts back. Got some super glue on my hands yeah that was quite fun. But in the end it came out super sturdy and way higher quality than my last mount. The other reviews who say it is loose and moves around aren’t tightening it till the rubber expands inside the triple clamp stem. It’s not a defect, it’s a lack of directions.

A must-have accessory for every rider
This is the first "mod" everyone should do to their bike. My phone is my livelihood, and before I got a Ram Mount, I had to stop periodically to check my phone for messages. This accessory makes riding so much more enjoyable. I have two bikes (mine and my son's), and getting the first one mounted was a pain in the arse. The toothed locking nut didn't want to grip the rubber stopper, it just kept spinning and not expanding in the stem hole. But after 10 minutes of torquing on the thing it finally "caught" and held in place. After that, affixing the ball joint and securing the phone was gravy. Installing on my son's bike was a totally different experience, the stopper caught right away and I was done from start to finish in about 5 minutes. Take your time, don't get in a rush, and watch a few videos showing the installation before attempting. But the end result pays off huge dividends.
