Xbox One S 1Tb Console - Minecraft Creators Bundle (Discontinued)

I love this bundle. I ordered it on Friday 11/23/2018 and it came on Saturday the next day. I have prime so I'm happy that it arrived early. About the packaging, it was nicely done and my System was fine. I hooked everything up and there was no problems. My system came with all the Minecraft gaming stuff and other add-ons as well as a Xbox Live trial codes, which amounts to a 2-week and 1 month. The controller works fine, came with batteries. My system's update didn't take long and only about 45 min to an hour. Once that was done my storage was 780 GB, which I don't know what happened that caused 220 GB to be gone. I guess after I put my gaming account on my System, it took up space with some stuff transferred over. I waited a couple of weeks to write this review to see if anything went wrong and it hasn't yet. I bought this deal because I'm in college and do not get much income. This bundle was truly a good pick and I'm glad I made this decision. I read many reviews before picking my final choice. I just went with my gut, so I choice the closest bundle to my liking and based on how much I had to spend. Of course it was a Black Friday recommendation which played a role too. I would recommend this to a friend. In the future I will update if needed.

Received 3 days earlier than earliest estimate. As for Xbox One itself: kind of crazy you have to wait about an hour before being able to play a game, what with installation downloads and such. Either way, top notch graphics and sound. I’m quite pleased, even though I’m still not quite playing. As others said, the 1TB Xbox One S Minecraft bundle is a steal at $199.00. It comes with the console set (including one wireless controller), and several redemption codes for Minecraft and related perks. I can’t understand why this was so cheap. The next cheapest bundle is $30 more, and somehow, the console alone costs $45 more. Why even bother with that last one (I tried posting a review on the solo console pointing this out, but they wouldn’t let me)? Anyway, hopefully, others find this helpful. It is cheaper, great delivery time, and is a quality game console with a huge multiplayer network. UPDATE: Looks like price went up. Didn’t notice it was a special. Still doesn’t make sense why they would have had it that cheap for a sale. I hope others had been able to avail of that offer, as well.

It's a good gaming system. Definitely a lot of fun. The downsides, though would be: Subscription, both to be able to play online, and if desired, another one for a Netflix-like game service. The menus are a little overcrowded and hard to navigate for a newcomer. Some settings are burried deep. There's not such a wide variety of online kid-friendly videogames. Beyond the obvious Minecraft and some others. I'd recommend you get a charge & play kit, to make your controller rechargeable instead of having to pop in new batteries every other day. Other than that, this is an excellent feature-rich gaming system on the affordable side. I'm sure any kid would love it. It's a lot harder to break than a Nintendo (because it's not portable), and it costs less AND it's great for watching movies, YouTube, Netflix, and it's extremely easy with the option to cast content from your phone to the Xbox without any setup. I love it.

Awesome. The package came undamaged, and the unit worked flawlessly right out of the box. I thought that I would need my grandson to help me, but the included instructions were easily understandable for setup. As a result, I (and I alone) had it up and running within 20-30 minutes. I had some difficulty with microsoft’s user interface menu at first (home screen). However, I, after a few minutes, figured out where and how to setup xbox live gold and redeem my codes. I love it. This was an excellent price. Great unit for the grandkids to play with when they visit. I have to admit that I played it almost all day Saturday.

Awesome deal! You get so much with this bundle. My kid is having a blast. Aside from the Minecraft bundle you also get 14 days of Live and supposedly a 1 month free of Game pass. I contacted Amazon because I did not receive the code for the game pass. They told me to contact Microsoft. The email I sent thru Amazon was rejected. I ended up saying screw it and signed up for game pass ultimate for $15 a month. But it is worth mentioning that it did not come with the game pass. It is a great console and works great. I wish it came with 2 controllers. Had to pick up another.

Great for mine craft newbies. My 9 year old loves it! She has created her own fantasy world and enjoyed learning how. Note this doesn’t have a Kinect which are increasingly hard to find. So if your phone does not have the capability or you don’t want your kids playing with your phone you need to find a Kinect for games like just dance. We bought just dance separately and had to buy Kinect and adaptor which was expensive. If you don’t want Kinect or just dance games this is perfect for you. We are enjoying both and having family dance competitions. Though we weren’t anticipating buying a Kinect, it was worth it for family activity time this winter. I am one of the few millennials that didn’t grow up gaming so this is a new experience for us, so I am no expert.

Only bought it to play a couple exclusive titles that I couldn't use on PC. There's a few gripes that upset me such as having to go through multiple menus to get where you want to go. Groups seem a little tacky. If you're using a PC with games installed on an SSD it seems so slow to load anything. Also backing out of screens can take you to the wrong sections. These are pretty minor complaints. Where it works well is game convinence. The game pass and EA installs are nice to have. I have subscribed to game streaming in the past on pc and the fact that saves aren't stored locally was always a downside. If your subscription expired and you renewed, you'd have to start over. The fact content is stored locally is great.

Pros: -Whisper quiet when running a game. -Smaller form factor and better performance than the Xbox One. -Affordable game system for a new player, or someone looking to upgrade from the Xbox One or Xbox 360. Cons: -None really, other than the color. Black or grey would have been nice. I guess I could always paint the case. I got this on Black Friday for $230 before s/h and taxes. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.
