Fine as a simple 2D MKV player
I like the Vero 4K but it has its limitations. There is no proper 3D support nor Blu-ray menus. It can be tricky to maintain as well. Especially factory reset which requires an SD card, a pin and a healthy constitution. I have not yet had to access the command line but some do to achieve various outcomes. All in all if you are just after a box for 2D MKV files and can live with Kodi it’s fine. But there are far more complete and better players from the likes of Zappiti, Zidoo and Dune available.

Best media streamer
In my opinion this is the best media streamer / player available right now. It has the KODI interface built in and works seamlessly with any video files you have stored on external hard drives via USB or NAS via Ethernet / Wi-Fi. If you don’t need a device for gaming then forget the Shield and get this.
