I have to say this fragrance is beast mode. I have a sample of plum Japonais and I do agree with the other reviews that the opening is a little different but dry down is amazing. It is more spicier, but definitely worth it for the price.

Ordered this for my gf to replace her Tom Ford Plum Japonaise perfume that was discontinued. She loves this replacement and it smells fairly similar but it is much more spicy/cinnamon-forward. If you like cinnamon then this will be perfect for you! It definitely starts out stronger and then mellows out over the next few hours, but it lasts a long time too.

Plum Japanese by TF is my holy grail fragrance. I still have a good amount left so I was able to compare side by side, over several hours and over the the course of a few days. As many know TF PJ has long been discontinued. Here are my thoughts: This is not a perfect dupe. The opening is missing the plum and is very cinnamon forward. If plum is so hard to replicate then dates would have been a good substitute. If that sweet and spicy opening is what you want, this misses that mark. But hold on…. The longevity is better, on my skin, than TF PJ. They are both beautiful fragrances and I like this fragrance a lot. The middle and base notes are very similar and after 4 hours they are almost identical. I very much like this fragrance for what it is and isn’t. I kept smelling my wrist and loving the scent. Projection in the first hour is beastly. Never really turns into a skin scent. Three foot projection at four + hours. I also received a sample that is fantastic and in a completely different direction. Turin 24. I think this is a high quality fragrance and for the price, fantastic!

This is the best fragrance I have in a collection of over 50 different fragrances and that’s including all of my Tom Fords.

I honestly would return this "Forbidden Plum" if i could. One spray was enough for me. If you like spicy fragrances this is really spicy, I could not smell much plum it was really drowned out by all the spices, the oud peaks through a little, something about this fragrance keeps making me sneeze and leaving me nauseous, I'm not sure what it is, I've worked in fragrance stores, candle stores and never had issues like this. This is just a heads up for people anticipating some magnificent plum, only to be let down with to way to much spice. The sample they sent was "Les Quais" this smelled like a baby powder with a hint of cotton and vanilla, it's so so for me

This is a wonderful rendition of Tom Ford's Plum Japonais. Having tried them side by side, it's a little different when first applied, but the dry down is practically indistinguishable. Beautiful fragrance!
