Fujitsu Scansnap S1100 Carrying Case

I purchased this case for my recently acquired ScanSnap S1100i scanner. The case was listed by Amazon as an "S1100 Carrying Case". At first, I was a bit concerned that Fujitsu had modified the form factor of the S1100i (offered originally in 2014) from that of its older ancestor, the S1100 (offered originally in 2011). Alas, my worries were unfounded as both scanners appear to have exactly the same dimensions -- and this case will work with both. This case fits the S1100i perfectly and snugly, with literally no room for movement. I'm shaking the scanner in the case as I write this review, and there is no movement within. Some reviewers are complaining that the case is too small and that, with the addition of the USB cable, the case is too small. I don't find that to be the case (pun intended) at all; if you coil the USB cable in long loops (the length of the case) then the USB cable fits perfectly within the case, with no case bulge. A small velcro patch secures the side of the case to the lid to prevent an accidental opening. The case is made from a thick plasticky vinyl material with a textured cloth insert, but both materials appear to be of quality, and the case seems to be very well made, so I have no worries about it protecting my beloved scanner. The case has a nice in-hand feel and has a professional appearance. I've placed the scanner in my backpack with the rest of my gear, and it transports beautifully. I continue to be blown away by how useful, portable, and well-designed the ScanSnap this little scanner is. And, with the addition of the case, I am confident that I'll be using this scanner for many, many years to come. Definitely a five-star purchase; I'm thoroughly satisfied.

This case is custom made for the Fujitsu SCANSNAP S1100 CLR 600DPI USB Mobile Scanner (PA03610-B005) --- very tight and convenient to travel --- and looks nothing like the Toiletry Kit pictured by Amazon. See my accompanying user pics to see what all the (5-star) fuss is about. The case is form fitting, including a rubber door through which you insert the USB cable to the left side of the S1100. The case lid folds open front and back so that the paper feed and exit are fully accessible without removing the scanner from the case --- very convenient and tidy anywhere. The sides of the case are stiff and protect the scanner from abuse. Velcro closes the case when you're done. All in all, a sweet piece of kit if you can get past the price. However, it's probably worth it for the protection and peace of mind, and it gives the scanner a rugged, compact home away from home.

This carrying case fits so well that I never take my scanner out and honestly forget that it even has a carrying case. Super useful and definitely makes me feel better about taking my scanner places or just storing it in the closet in general. I would definitely recommend getting the case if you already have the scanner. Kinda interesting that they don't have a picture of the case but it is just a very well-fitted black box made out of plastic and with a vinyl/textile inset.

This case was built to enclose the fujitsu scansnap s1100 so the fitting is perfect. this was the only case that would accomodate all the features of the scanner. the top opening fascilitates the front feeding feature as well as the straight feed feature of the scanner. The opening at the side enables the user to plug in the scanner without removing it from the case. The build is solid, it will really protect your investment, its made of plastic frame and overall covers that conform to how the scanner is use. The best case you can find for the fujitsu scanner. Buy this, you will not regret it.

First of all, it is a case and it does the job protecting the scanner. However, I don't know what the designer was thinking: he/she completely missed the picture that it is a case for a portable scanner. The engineers designed and shrunk the scanner to a very neat and small package, so that this scanner is highly portable. The case is huge compared to the scanner itself, I'd say it probably increases size of the scanner at least 30%! (Another reviewer measured and found it increases 50% in size). The added room inside the case was designed to hold an USB cable! It is a bulky vinyle case does not worth $5 ! I don't care if it is $50, but a vinyl plastic case?! It looks like it is made of cheap vinal plastic sheets wrapping around cardboards and those may crack in winter. It would be much nicer if it is neoprene.

What a fantastic product. Just buy it! What a great asset. You don't have to take the scanner out of this case, ever!!! Just pop the top and everything folds down and lets you scan. On the airplane, in your lap, whatever. The cable for usb is stored in the case and then plugs into an outside pass through port! How SMART! Beautiful, functional, easy. LOVE this!

I wasn't sure whether it was silly to purchase this with my Scansnap, since I didn't intend to actually travel with my Scansnap (at least not much), but I have been very pleased with it. It is very compact, and allows the cord to connect right through the case wall. It allows me to keep my Scansnap tidied away when not in use - especially nice since I have cats, and their cat hair tends to make its way *everywhere*. When I'm ready to use my Scansnap, I unsnap the velcro front, open the Scansnap, feed the page through, and then close everything up. It is seamless - no need to remove the case or anything. Highly recommended.

Quite simply - if you got the small ScanSnap S1100 for travelling as I did, then this accessory is a no-brainier. The ScanSnap S1100 isn't cheap - so you want to look after it - and you can be confident that this sturdy well-constructed black box snugly fits the machine and cord so you can toss it into your bag with no other worries. S1100 Carrying made only for Fujitsu ScanSnap S110 scanner. Perfectly fit the scanner and store cord. If you purchase this case, S1100 scanner stays in case when you scan. I like the case, protect scanner and keep it clean. It is over priced, but I think it worth it.

I was unsure abut paying so much for a carrying case for my scanner, it seemed an awful lot of money for a plastic case, but boy am I glad I did. This is a custom made carrying case, sturdy and secure. The scanner fits inside perfectly, no wiggle room, and a side opening for the USB cable to connect to the computer without removing it from the case - ace! It is solidly built, has a velcro fastening and the scanner can be used without needing to be removed. The only flaw I can see is that the USB cable cannot be carried inside the case, this is not major, more of a niggle. A good product, if you are investing in a scanner, invest in this case to keep your purchase safe.

Die hier angebotene Tasche für den ScanSnap S1100 ist, trotz dem hoch wirkenden Preis, jeden Cent wert. Beim Auspacken bereits überzeugen die verwendeten Materialien: die komplette Hülle der Tasche ist aus hartem Kunststoff gefertigt, jedoch ist dieser nur an den Seiten zu sehen. Die anderen Oberflächen haben Leder- bzw. Textilbezug und wirken dem Preis entsprechend hochwertig. Der Scanner wird einfach in die aufgeklappte Tasche eingesetzt (ohne jegliche Art von Fixiermechanismus) und sitzt durch die passgenaue Form perfekt - im geschlossenen Zustand ohne darin zu rutschen, zu wackeln, oder ähnliches. Es besteht auch genügend Stauraum für das benötigte USB-Kabel innerhalb der Tasche. Mit dem Scanner lässt sich ohne Probleme in der Tasche scannen; aufklappen, USB-Kabel durch die vorgesehene Öffnung anschließen und wie gewohnt los-scannen. Ich war zuerst skeptisch wegen dem hohen Preis, doch wenn man die Tasche erst mal in der Hand und in Benutzung hat, bereut man es kein Bisschen, diese Investition getätigt zu haben.

偶然知人が使用しているのを見て、早速購入しました。大学教授でもあるその彼が「とても使い勝手がいい」との言葉だったからです。高額でなかったこともあり、購入し職場で活用しております。丁度、書類と合わせて写真のスキャナーが必要になったこともあり、スムーズに仕事がはかどっております。場所もとりませんし、絶対お勧めです！

Um einen stolzen Preis erhält man ein mit PVC überzogenes ABS-Etui (Made in Japan) welches teilweise eine Stoffeinlage vorzuweisen hat. Optisch passt es in die 70er Jahre und lässt auf den ersten Blick ein Billigprodukt vermuten. Das Etui ist passgenau gefertigt, der Snapscan s1100 passt exakt hinein. Dank der internen Möglichkeit, auch ein kurzes USB Kabel (das Originalkabel des s1100 kann man leider nur hinein quetschen) beizulegen, hat man also den Scanner Etui mit etwa doppelten Volumen des s1100 immer Betriebsbereit zur Hand. Das Etui ist sehr steif ausgeführt und schützt den Scanner auch vor Staub. Das war der eigentliche Grund, weshalb ich das zu einem exklusiven Preisrahmen von 50-80 Euro je nach Händler) angebotene Case behielt. Ein kurzer Blick nach Amerika lässt den Schluß zu, dass es höchst unterschiedliche Preisvorstellungen geben muss. Anders ist es nicht Erklärbar, weshalb das Original Fujitsu Etui in den Vereinigten Staaten um 15 - 20 Euro angeboten werden kann - und in Europa gleich der 3 - 4-fache Preis verlangt werden muss.
