SawtoothHeritage 60 Series Flame Maple Top Electric Guitar, Cali Blue Flame

I have purchased several Sawtooth guitars, Maples series 12 and 6 string I have more than pleased with them.I received the Heritage 60 in a timely fashion. Came double boxed. No damage showing on either box. Upon opening and revolving the guitar from the plastic bag, I was very pleased with the appearance. Moments later I saw a broken B string, broken near the bridge. I checked all the strings, all were over tentioned. I tune up the guitar and checked intonation, both E strings required attention. Once intonated and retuned the guitar sounded good acoustically. Was quite loud for a solid body. I like the tuning machines, hold tune well, even in changing weather conditions. Fret ends are finished nicely. Frets were level.and finished well, just need a good polish. Now for the bad on the frets. Frets 18, 20 and 22 are flat on top. This just seems to be a lack of attention to detail and no final inspection before shipping. The neck is straight. Finger board is nice. The action is extremely high at the nut, about .025 at the first fret. So lowering the nut will have to be done, filing the slots will cause the strings gone to low in the slots. I like that the pick guard has not been attached, comes separate if you wish to mount it. String are average quality. Bridge and stop are ok, nothing special, average for the price range. Now for the truly bad. The pots and three way switch are on par with the price range. As far as how the wiring was done well that was totally unacceptable. The bridge volume does not work, looks to be wired properly. Not a big thing going to install splittable high quality pot.Now the finish is very good overall. There are some rough spots on the top of the binding. Some wet sanding with, 2000 and 5000 paper took care of that.Sawtooth with very little effort and attention to detail would have a very good to excellent guitar.

Beautiful guitar for a beginner guitarist the sound is pretty good it's comfortable to play I'm very happy that I got it

I think this is a great product but the toggle switch came snapped off completely.
