I bought this after my 88 year old mom came to live with me unexpectedly. Mom coming to live with me was an emergency situation and I am just 6 months past having spine surgery. Mom has limited mobility. She uses a walker to walk in the house and a wheelchair when we go on errands or to appointments. She is a high fall risk. Our master bathroom has a shower with glass doors and was a pain to get her in and such a high fall risk. This chair is expensive but it seems much more durable and has features that make it worth the cost. Our second bathroom has a standard tub and Mom’s not able to step over the rim of the tub to get in for a shower. This allows us to seat Mom on the seat, put the seatbelt on and then rotate her. I can then press the button and slide her over the tub rim and get her in the tub for a shower. She can feel clean and enjoy a regular shower and not have only the cleaning done with no rinse cloths. This helps her feel more like she’s hasn’t given up one more thing to advancing age and decreased mobility and ability. I think it helps her with her self esteem and feeling like she’s able to do some things for herself still. I am still there by her side and can assist and make sure she’s not in danger of falling but she can do most of her own bathing by herself. This chair also saves my spine because Mom can be moved easily, safely and not “fight” me moving Mom when she fears she is going to fall. I recently had cervical fusion surgery and have to be careful not to do certain motions as my spine tries to heal. Expensive....yes.....Worth it.....Yes!!!! Hopefully it will be helpful after Mom has passed and if my hubby has a third heart attack. Hubby is able to do all of his own care now but he’s a heart patient and one day may have another heart attack and be weak enough to need help with bathing.

I bought this for a person who can no longer stand for a shower or sit and get out of a tub. For a standard tub, this seat is easy to rotate for sitting, then turn and lock into position to slide by the rails into the tub area. The arm handles make it easier to stay on the seat and to boost out when getting up. The person I got it for is able to bath themself again with this and a hand-held shower sprayer on a hose. This unit came with extra leg extenders that make it possible to fit any height tub. It costs more than other models, but was worth every penny for the ease, convenience, and independence it returns to a disabled person's life.

Her baths & pretty easy to use. Just a pain to move it for my showers. But it’s a good idea 👍

This has been a wonderful solution for our family. I care for a person with multiple disabilities and have tried several different shower chairs. This chair allows for easy transfer from a wheelchair and offers added security with the seatbelt. We use it along with a Stander Adjustable Floor to Ceiling Security Pole and have been able to avoid adding extra bars inside our shower. Being able to sit her down before having to lift her feet over the tub has made taking a shower much safer and a less fearful experience for my family member. The chair is very sturdy which is a bonus for someone with movement disorders. The chair glides well and was easy to assemble. I wish we had bought this sooner.

Bought this to aid me in bathing my mother with dementia. It works really well. It was easy to assemble and it does what it's meant to do. The sliding mechanism is a life safer! It's sturdy but wish the seat had a cut out and that there was a way to add / extend the back support to be higher. The seat belt is a great feature as she tends to prone and it helps in keeping her from sliding off.

This is a big help for people who have lost mobility, but still want to keep clean. The chair swivel and slide option works very well to allow easy access to the shower/tub. Combined with a suitable shower hose, it is easy for the individual to wash, soap and rinse by themselves, rather than needing an attendant. Plus the moving chair makes entry and exit from the tub safe and simple, rather than the fraught procedure it otherwise can be. My only suggestion would be for the seat to be split, so that the rump can be more easily rinsed.

This chair has made it so much easier to give my mom a shower. The chair swivels to face forward, then swivels to face sideways, then slides into the shower. Much easier than trying to get her to stumble into the shower and sit on a bench. When finished, the chair slides back out, turn it forward, and she can stand up with her walker. One caveat: I ordered the chair, then found out that the horizontal bars can be sent/ordered in three different lengths, depending on your need. The length that came with the chair was too short, so I spent $55 ordering longer bars. Order direct from the company and get the length you need with the original chair.

Item is awesome. Easy to setup and use. Glides well and is great for heavy patients. 10/10
