What is the difference between this product, and the american crew light hold styling gel?

The lotion create only texture!But gel has hold!

Does this product give you a "wet look" all day?

No not all day. I only put a small enough on to help the hair lay down.It only looks wet for a few hours if you put a lot on.

Does this dry and harden? Im looking for a product that is easy to apply with a light hold and little to no shine. BUT no hardness like gel.

From my experience, it does not dry and harden like gel. If you use enough of the product, I hesitate to use the expression, but... it will stiffen up a tiny bit. However, just running your fingers through your hair will loosen everything up. There's no dried residue or anything like that.
