Tv is only 50” wide, will 2 50” lenghth work top & bottom?

Yes I have a 75 inch Sony and it went around my tv and I had to cut a little of it off at the end.

Why do i only see 6 six colors and white? how are there 20 color variations? the instructions say nothing about it. help?

With mine I have the primary colors and the rest of the colors are variations of the hues, lighter or darker/ brighter. Hope that helps.

They can flash but it has nothing to do with what you're watching.

Can i cut these strips to make them shorter? the length is perfect for the length of my imac but i need the height to be 12"-17"

Yes, you can cut the strips. If you look closely there's a section with four copper terminals and a white line bisecting them. You can cut along this white line to make this strip fit your needs. I just this to mine and it works perfectly.
