Solid Workhorse
I am a technician who works with everything from small machines, to electronics, to wood and wires and batteries. I work indoors and outdoors. This is absolutely my go to knife. It is really sturdy and keeps a good blade. The addition of the serrated section is very important to me. One handed operation is very nice and I like the security slider. I don't understand people who walk around with a $200 pocket knife on the worksite. You don't use a Ferrari to dig ditches. You want a solid workhorse and this is it. I always keep a back up just in case and when I went to visit family I sent one to myself so I would make sure I had my trustee tool when I landed. I just don't feel right without it. Leaving it in the car at the airport is always such a bummer.

Love this damn knife
My brother is a dewalt guy and I'm not. We talk trash about our respective tool brands all in good fun. This knife is excellent. I used to use a craftsman knife that was basically the same. My wife bought me this one for Christmas and I was pleased to find it has the safety(kids) I look for. It comes with a nicely sharpened blade. Don't tell my brother. Now if I could stop misusing my knives and breaking the tips off, I'd be good to go.

Tricky
Nice quality but tricky to open.

Great knife for the money
It's a great knife for the money. Opens well, edge is holding so far. The opening system works well. It's for right handed operation though. I'm left-handed, it's a little difficult.

Hefty and rugged. Good buy.
Bought three for me and my boys. Although the safety is a little difficult to actuate, once released the blade opens snappy and quick.

Bought one and then bought 2 more.
I like this knife so much that I ordered 2 more, just in case I lose this one. The spring assisted opening is really useful when you only have one hand free.

JUNK
DISAPPOINTED!! the last DeWalt Knife I bought was and still is the best knife I've ever had. I have been carrying a knife of one type of another for 50 years everything from Buck, Kershaw, Victorionx, and Dearslayer. I recently broke the pocket clip so I ordered what I thought was to be the same knife. I received, without a doubt, the worst knife I've ever bought. It locks closed and requires you to release the blade with a slide lock on the side and then flick it open. Not at all convenient and leaves the knife in a less than secure grip because your thumb is positioned on the side and pressing the blade release requires far more force than it should. To be point of being painful and chipping away your thumb nail. When open, the blade joint is very sloppy, to the point I was sure the screw that it pivots around was loose. It was not. I have had promotional give away knives from suppliers that were better than this complete piece of junk. Do yourself a favor and find something, anything other than this horrible knife. It really doesn't even deserve the 1 star but I had to give it that to be able to post this review.

Great DeWalt tool!
Not a great knife, but it's an awesome DeWalt tool! It's nothing like my collectables, but again, great tool with one hand operation!
