It's original.
I'm Costa Rican and this is an authentic product. I was able to make arroz con pollo like my grandma does it! I was super happy when I found it. I usually have to fly directly to Costa Rica and stuff a bunch in my suitcase because they don't sell it in the states. For anyone new to this product, this is not a spice so it won't have flavor. It is meant to give color to your foods. Just heat up some oil and add a spoon of achiote to the hot(not burning) oil until it's completely melted. Don't burn it. Then mix the oil with the rice or any other dish. Good luck! Puravida Mae!

Ok product- sealing questionable.
It was ok, other achiotes I have tried have better flavor. It was not bad just little on blander side. However, I am allergic to sodium benzoate, and every other achiote except this one has that ingredient. When I received the container it had one strip of packaging tape starting on the lid and going around bottom to other side. After pulling off tape and opening the lid there is no other form of seal. Which was strange as it said once open refrigerate- did not seem previously opened at all as it was in tact perfectly- just seemed strange to be able to just lift lid off and there it is.
