Ribena Blackcurrant

I saw this in my recommended feed on here and for £2 (free postage with Prime) I figured I'd give it a whirl. The other half loves Ribena anyway and I'm forever on the hunt for new sugar-free products that I can incorporate into my intake. When it arrived, we tried it with cold water first and thought it was fine. Just like Ribena with a vague kind of mulled spice flavour in there. But when we made it up with HOT water? Total game changer! This stuff tastes like a non-alcoholic mulled wine. It's so lovely and warming, it makes a really nice change to coffee or tea. Especially if you want a nice hot drink before bed but don't want any caffeine or dairy or sugar. You can't even tell that it's sugar-free. (These days, there's been such an improvement in the way sugar-free products taste, even the other half - who had previously given diet drinks and artificial sweeteners a wide berth because of the weird aftertaste they used to have - has started to happily swap in a few sugar-free drinks along with his regular beverages, because they taste great and it cuts down on unnecessary sugar consumption. Win win!) But getting back to this 'Ribena Winter Spice Squash', we're about 2/3 of the way through the bottle and I've already bought another. Should be with me in the next couple of days. And to be honest, I'm thinking of buying a bunch of them while they're still available, because I'm guessing this was a seasonal product that Amazon currently have a large stash that they're trying to get rid of, and once they're gone they're gone. Will it be brought back next year? I really hope so. It's such a lovely little treat. On these cold, wet, blustery days, it's the perfect hot beverage to curl up with on the sofa, while enjoying a good book. Part of me wants to tell y'all not to try this stuff, because I'm afraid that the more of you who buy it, the fewer bottles will be left for ME to purchase, lol. But instead, I'm hoping that this review will encourage some of you to give this a go (drink it HOT remember, to get the full effect!) and then come on here to leave a good review of your own. With a little bit of online encouragement, hopefully the folks at Ribena will see that it's worth bringing it out again next year, so we can all enjoy it during the colder months once more. Forget being a PSL girl. I'm a RWS girl!

Quick delivery for my son, thought it would help him drink more water, when he was ill in bed

Not sure how this had been stored but the juice was leaking from the top seal but not through the lid- I hoped it had just got damaged in transit as it was a weird shape too. I thought it was good value compared to the supermarket - I probably wouldn't order again though because I didn’t want to open it right away but because the seal wasn't on I had to. Still really like the flavour - will always be my choice in blackcurrant as it's juicy and no added sugar.

Came across this by accident, but so glad I did. I used to love the Vimto spiced cordial sold a couple of years ago, but it was a limited addition product that Vimto stopped making and I was devastated. Ordered this spiced Ribena hoping it would be the same or similar to the Vimto spiced drink. My first glass with boiling water I thought it had an overly cinnamon taste to it. But thankfully I decided to try it again and decided it wasn't cinnamon I could taste. Now I'm literally addicted to this cordial and drink it through the day with boiling water instead of tea or coffee. I'm just hoping Ribena don't do the same as Vimto and stop making it. I've ordered in bulk and will continue to order in bulk to make sure I've got plenty in stock just in case. Currently on offer at Tesco - two bottles for £3, but really £1.80 on subscribe and save at Amazon is good value for money. During these cold winter days and nights definitely recommended.

Best tasting cordial ever.

Wow this is really nice & reminds us of Lapland & a drink they do over there called ‘Glögg’ (non alcoholic version of course) You have to have it warm to really enjoy it to the full and be outside in the cold even better!!! Just ordered a few bottles more to store away in case they stop selling it which I hope they don’t ever!!!
