Not protective but fine for minor bumps; too big for Roland Go:Keys 5
This bag is mainly to hold a keyboard, but not really to protect it. It’ll protect against you accidentally scuffing it while walking through a doorway, but that’s about it. If you want protection, look elsewhere. There is a very small amount of padding on the top and bottom of the bag, but absolutely none on the sides. It serves my purpose because I just need to keep it from getting too scratched in my car when I take it to rehearsal a couple of times a week and a gig once every few months. It is too big for my Roland Go:keys 5, which I knew from the description. However, since Roland doesn’t make a case for this and I didn’t want to spend a ton of money I went with this one based on previous experience with the brand. Specifically, this case has an extra 1” on each side and 2” on the front and back over the go:keys. I had some case foam sitting around, so I fashioned a surround for the keyboard, making it a snug fit and adding some protection. Build quality seems good. None of the zippers have bound up yet and seems are holding. The backpack straps are nice, although not unique to this bag. Because there is no padding on the sides, they flop down like a kiddie pool does when there’s no keyboard inside. That’d be annoying if I hadn’t added the extra foam. Definitely worth the $30 I paid for it…and if my keyboard was a snugger fit I probably wouldn't have bothered with adding foam.

Great Choice for Hobbyists
This case is perfect for my Yamaha 61 keyboard. Easy to carry. Good backpack straps with extra width around the shoulders. Plenty of pockets for accessories and a few sheets of music. Great minimal investment for the hobbyist or beginner who has a keyboard that is in the low cost range.

will hold keyboard or very long submarine sandwhich, but not both at the same time
after stubbing my toe on that yamaha keyboard propped against a rack for the Nth time, I decided I 'd prefer to stub my toe against something softer, hence the purchase of this keyboard case. It is indeed softer than my keyboard, and adds an air of mystery until I open it and take out a decade old yamaha piano trainer and the snickering begins. While not a hardshell case, this does provide protection and organization of accessories such as power supply, sustain pedal and the odd sandwhich. Which leads me to a 2nd and not advertised feature, this makes a monster lunch bag, you can actually keep a weeks worth of food in this if you ever sell your keyboard . Think of the monster submarine sandwhich that could reside within this bad boy!!! Not water tight, do not attempt to fill this with water and make the worlds largest ice cube, it won't work, don't ask how I know this.

Straps will fail…
Purchased for my son so he could travel with his keyboard. Size of the bag was great but one of the strap handles came unstitched when he first used it. He was mainly going to use the backpack straps for his trip so we didn’t immediately return it. The day he was leaving he loaded the case with his keyboard and the right backpack strap immediately came unstitched. He ended up just using it as a padded case for the duration of his trip. His keyboard was specifically purchased due to its light weight and should have been light enough for any case. We are very fortunate that the straps didn’t both break or it would have damaged its cargo.
