Skelang Maple 2" x 50' Roll Wood Veneer Edge Banding Preglued Iron-On with Hot Melt Adhesive Edgebanding Flexible Wood Tape

This is my first time using veneer wood of any type. The thermal adhesive fuses extremely well, even to birch pine oak subsurfaces that might be an under reinforcement afterwards the veneer becomes permanent. I lightly sanded the maple veneer with 220, 320, and 400 grit sandpaper before I applied shellac amber or clear. Afterwards, I allowed it to dry well then I sanded the shellac with 1000 grit. And applied his second thin coat of shellac to bring it to a brilliant amber shine. I believe that the cost is extremely reasonable well worth the money.

Its a good product but not what I was looking for. I didn't realize it had glue on one side. I need a roll of veneer WITH NO GLUE! My fault for not noticing. If this company has veneer products with no glue, please contact me!

Pretty happy with the 2" wide edge banding. There was about 7' of clear maple before a splice. About average for edge banding splicing. The glue layer is thick and melts at a fairly low temperature. Only problem with this is if you put this on a cabinet near a toekick heater it may be warm enough to melt the glue and have the banding lift. Using my squeeze edge cutter to remove the excess went as usual. You need to go in the direction of the grain or the maple rips a bit, still a very usual property. The price for this was excellent for what it is.

Nice amount of glue with great adhesion. Thick enough to hide any imperfections underneath completely. Will buy again.

Ok, so I have never used something like this and I was very hesitant that it would work and stick to the dresser I was re doing but it actually worked great. I was influenced to buy this and we all know it is not always an honest review. I am so happy I bought and tried.

Easy to iron on, easy to sand, and looks great.

This maple wood veneer had a wonderful and consistent colour throughout the roll. This is important for things like natural coloured kitchen cabinets. I would definitely buy this item again .

Used to finish the edges of this chair/bed. Worked perfectly and really sticks good to the plywood edges.

Darker than all my other maple edge band which is hard to tell via shopping with a cell phone. Too bad there is no rating for darkness scale of wood grain which would assist carpenters in buying these products online without these issues. I will only be able to use it on paint grade cabinets. Otherwise seems fine

Good product. Stuck well with both an iron and a heat gun. Stained and all that a wood edging should do.

They lied about the wood species. It’s poplar wood and not maple. Don’t recommend painting.
