I’m an AV professional. This is an excellent product for a remarkable price. Passes 4K HDR, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision simultaneously through both HDMI ports. Which means it will pass every other format one might need south of 8K…. I’m using to split an AppleTV to my OLED TV and the other port to my 7.1 channel surround sound processor. For an obscure reason I did not want to pass through my sound device. Works flawlessly out of the box.

I hand only older 1x4 splitter that worked for years and stopped working. I upgraded to a 1x8 since I actually had 5 outputs. Replacing this was much harder than I thought. This one worked great. I hooked up 5 inputs with long HDMI cables (50-75 feet each). It worked just fine. All 5 TVs showed the same signal without interruption. Previous to buying this one, I bought 2 others that did not work. Unlike the others, this one had a 12W power supply (12V @ 1A). The other ones were only 5W (5V @ 1A). I suspect this contributed to the issue. With the other ones, the video would flicker or not work at all if I hooked up more than 2 inputs. With this unit, it worked flawlessly even with all 5 TVs hooked up and running. If you need a splitter and have long cables, I'd highly recommend this one!

I have three 24" 1920 x 1080 monitors with HDMI inputs and a 43" 1920 x 1080 TV with three HDMI inputs. I bought three 1 in and 2 out splitters so my computer could have each TV HDMI input mirror each of my monitors. The manufacturer had suggested connecting each TV HDMI input to its corresponding splitter's Output 1 and each corresponding monitor to Output 2. This worked very well. The manufacturer also recommended setting the EDID switch to TV but resulted in strange, monochromatic color on the displays. Resetting to STD corrected the displays. My only complaint are the ridiculously, intensely bright blue indicator lights in the splitters. Since the indicators lights have to face away from the room to allow room to install the cables, the bright indicator lights wouldn't be a problem (they also could be taped over) but the light also shines brightly through the air vents in both ends of the three splitters which can't be blocked off without risking burning up the splitters. It's going to take come creativity to come up with a way to block the light without blocking the air flow. Either indicator lights that shone only through their holes in the front panel should have been used or a way to turn the lights off should have been provided. That cost a star in the rating.

Literally plug and play, and it just works. Like the sturdy metal case, too. Well worth the money.

I used this to run Directv to 3 other tvs across my house and use an RF remote to change channels from any room. It works great and there isn’t any lag in audio or video quality.

Great Product for my application. Easy process to install.

Ordered two of these for my setup. One was bricked out of the box, got sent a replacement, only to have that one fail as well. The other one has occasional signal loss and will more than likely fail as well. I tested the source signal to make sure it wasn’t the device and/or monitors and had zero issues. To be clear, that a 100% defect rate on the three I ordered. Will be returning all of them as soon as my new ones from a different manufacturer arrive. Stay far away from this brand.
