Powerland has no customer service
I hate to write bad reviews but I feel that in this case I need to warn potential future customers of Powerland. I purchased this generator last October primarily for the natural gas option, otherwise there are many cheaper alternatives. I was able to successfully connect it to my outside gas line and start it via pull-start, electric did not work. As recommended I started it several times since. This June I had an electrician install a transfer switch and an outside connection. When I tried to start the generator this time, it would not start. Since it's within the warranty period, I called the Powerland customer service number but could not get through. Nobody answers any of the extensions. The phone system just reroutes the call and eventually you end up at the main menu. I also sent them an email via Amazon and again no response. Amazon customer service tried to contact them several times, also unsuccessful. Amazon is now escalating to A to Z claim. In short, this company does not stand behind their products. It is useless to have a phone number when nobody answers. Hope this helps in your decision making process for any products by Powerland.

Be pro-active
Yes this is one of those Made in China knock-offs. What isn't anymore? However, so far (knock knock) this machine has impressed me and that's not easy. Especially if China made. There are some preventative/pre-maintenance items that need to be done in order to improve typical made in China quality. About 2 hours of pro-active maintenance and you should be setup, good-to-go.First, ditch the 15psi regulator that comes with generator. It'll work, but it's a weak link. When buying this generator add the following parts:- Winters PEM Series Steel Dual Scale Economical All Purpose Pressure Gauge with Brass Internals, 0-60 psi/kpa, 2-1/2" Dial Display, $13.38- Anderson Metals Brass Pipe Fitting, Barstock Street Tee, 1/4" Female Pipe x 1/4" Male Pipe x 1/4" Female Pipe, $6.24- Bayou Classic 0-30 PSI Adjustable Regulator/Hose Assembly, $31.90Why buy these parts? As others mentioned starting this gen cold on LP/Nat. is tough, no lie. As a previous poster discovered (thanks dude!) you need to start cold gen at 10psi then tweak it up to about 12psi. Purrs like a cat at 12psi. Parts mentioned will get you a nice controllable regulator.Second, the instructions are good considering they're coming from China. Seriously, they're not as bad as others indicate. There is an omission as others indicated and that is when starting the gen make sure the choke is OPEN. Instructions say closed and that is wrong.Third, get some yellow gas tape or dope, and thread lock. Here's where you'll need to sit down with a few cold ones, good tunes, and just go slow and steady. The LP/Nat. gas converter fittings need to be taken out, taped or doped, and snugly re-fasted. There's about 5 fittings and out of the factory they leak, badly. Then you need to test each bolt and screw holding the engine to the frame and parts to each other. Make sure they're snug and tight. Those that are loose wind them out a little, squirt some thread lock on and re-fasten. Most were tight on mine, but a few were accidents waiting to happen. Finally, as the instructions say add oil. Read the instructions. You'll need about 3 quarts of good quality stuff, don't go cheap on oil. Per instructions add about 1.2 quarts. Then start and run the gen. Do a break in period, run it for about 2-4 hours'ish. Test everything while it's breaking in, but keep the load low. Point of this exercise is to ease the machine into service. Once you've broken the machine in, replace the oil, should be ready to go for the real-deal.This generator replaces my Gentron Pro 6000W. Which was a real peace of junk. Won't do Gentron again. All these knock-off generators probably come from the same plant in China, parts sure look the same. Think biggest mistake w/ Gentron was using American ethanol gasoline. Ethanol is junk, tears up equipment bad. With this PowerLand tri-fuel generator I plan to only use LP/Nat. So far it's done well. An added bonus to this gen besides being tri-fuel is it has a 50A socket. Has 2x 30A sockets and 1x 50A socket depending on cable and voltage. I like having those additional 20A, can bust out more window A/C units. And this generator has a THD of >5%, which for my home automation and computer systems this is added piece of mind. All-in-all, so far, this has been a wise buy for me.

I've been looking for NG Generator since Hurricane Irma
After Hurricane Irma hit South Florida and we were without power for days, I wanted to get a generator and since we have Natural Gas for cooking, hot water, etc. I wanted one that ran on NG. Since we have an NG line to our BBQ, the hookup was already in place. But, I was surprised that there are aren't many Natural Gas Generators available and was excited when I found the Powerland.Buying the generator was the easy part. Hooking it up to my BBQ line wasn't as easy as I thought it would be and took a lot of trial and error. I first tired with numerous brands of quick release NG BBQ hoses but none fit the Powerland's NG fitting. I ended up using a 3/8 Inch Natural Gas Quick Connect Fittings to 1/2-inch NG Hose, using an adapter. The problem I had was connecting it to the fitting on the generator, after trying a bunch of different fittings from Home Depot and Lowes, not fit. I finally had to go to plumbing supply store to get the right fitting. But now it works like a charm. I just pop in the quick release fitting into the gas line for BBQ and screw the hose into the Generator, turn the key and it starts right up. No muss, no fuss. So far I've tried running lamps, etc. off the generator but haven't tried hooking the refrigerator or a portable AC yet. That's the next test but I feel confident that next time we have a Hurricane we will have uninterrupted power running on the natural gas that we have an unlimited supply coming into the house. One thing Amazon could do to make the buying process easier would be to recommend the right hoses and fittings to make it easier to hook up.

Great Generator, bad manual, and a tweek needed
Great product that meets my needs of a back up power source for my home. Not a lot of choices in the $1100 price range that operate on Natural Gas. Two items kept this from getting 5 stars. 1 - as reported by others the manual is not clear, obviously written by an non-English person with limited translation skills. This is so surprising, why not pay someone to do a good job of writing the manual in English, it is just a one time job that would take less than a day or two to re-write. They do have good support in the U.S. so I think they already have the resources. 2 - While running the generator on natural gas the engine will stall unless you adjust the NG/LP switch by keeping it not fully over to the NG position but keeping it at 7/8 turned toward the NG position.
