Must-have addition to small cameras with no grip
I have a Nikon J1 and while I understand their design choices kept it minimal and made it look nice and clean, with bigger lenses you really need a grip on that thing. This is perfect for that. I have gone through two of them over the course of three years, because one of them started to move a bit. I think that I had problems with that first one because that summer I did a ton of work outside in hot/wet conditions, so I would say that in most normal use cases you will have no problem with the adhesive wearing off.The best part about these is how simple they are, there's no branding on this one so it really looks like a part of your camera. Seriously, on my J1, it looks like it came like this. It's great. These are also fun because, heck, they're just an adhesive bit of rubber, so you can stick them on whatever you want! For a while, I had a plain white case on my phone with one of these stuck on it so it matched my camera and it was awesome. These actually are really great for adding grip to a phone case and I would totally suggest that idea if you don't mind it not being level when you set it down.Overall a very cool product and definitely one of my favorite little camera accessories.

Excellent value, improves ergonomics
After becoming a fan of Ricoh's excellent ergonomics for the GX100 and GR Digital, the little finger nub on the front of Nikon's V1 seemed inadequate. I occasionally shot one-handed and wanted a more secure grip. While the Richard Franiec machined metal grip adapter was tempting and seems like an excellent value, I wanted to keep the spending for the V1 to a minimum since I mainly got the camera for $299 as a high end P&S digicam. At $10 shipped from Adorama through Amazon, the Flipbac G4 is an outstanding value. The Flipbac grip adapter fits over the V1's finger nub and allows enough positioning room to place it where I wanted it - a little lower and farther from the lens than illustrated on Flipbac's website. The 3M adhesive grips securely. The silicone rubbery material is firm, grippy and cosmetically matches the little thumb pad on the rear of the V1.The ergonomics are much better, and puts more of the balance on my fingers so my thumb is less likely to inadvertently move the mode dial (a much noted flaw in the V1). I can comfortably hold the camera in one hand for shooting, and for my preferred carry style while out and about: in one hand, with a homemade wrist strap for safety.

Great addition to my Canon S110 - highly recommend for any compact camera.
Great addition to a small camera. This is the larger version of the Flipbac options, and it works quite well. I put this on my Canon S110 and it fits just about perfectly. Add substantial stability to one-handed camera operation. Definitely adds comfort to my camera. This model was originally designed for the Canon S100, which had a mini-grip groove on the front. The back side of the Flipbac grip has a channel to make way for this. Even with the cut-away, it holds tight and feels extremely comfortable. The depth of the grip is just a hair thicker than the depth of the lens when fully retracted, so it does NOT add much bulk. It does make my S110 slightly less pocket-able, but not much. Still fits snugly in my Case Logic TBC-302 soft compact camera case. Light they were made for each other. As I said, this is the largest model, so measure your camera and figure out of a smaller one is more appropriate for yours.

Good ergonomic design but didn’t last due to poor adhesive adhesion.
Was an easy and helpful addition but fell off and disappeared within a few weeks.

EOS M users be advised. This does not fit ...
EOS M users be advised. This does not fit over the original grip, you'll have to remove the original in order to install the Flipbac FBG4. Other than that it seems to be OK, I'm not sure how much I trust the sticky tape back though.

This Grip Works Perfectly With the Canon EOS M
I was able to easily replace the wimpy EOS M grip with the Flipbac grip. The EOS M grip is on the camera with a sticky glue, similar to how the Flipbac will stick to it. Simply pull if off (you might need some force here) and replace it with the new grip. Be careful to center the Flipbac FBG4 grip to cover the area under the previous Canon grip, press firmly, and you're done. If you find that you need to shift it later a bit the glue under it is forgiving and you can remount it. It holds solidly to the camera and really provides a sense of security, especially if you mount larger EF lenses using the lens adapter with the EOS M. This is an excellent product and it looks good too.

Great Value Grip That Improves Your Camera Handling
I have a Nikon J1, and the front of the camera is extremely slippery because of the chosen material and likely an inadequate review by the manufacturer when evaluating ergonomics.Enter third-party grips. Nikon sells their own of course, but at USD50 and the fact that you need to unscrew it from the camera to access the card and battery compartment, well, that's a non-starter for me. Richard Franiec produces a great CNC milled grip that fits like a glove or so people say, but it's still a bit steep at USD35. Enter Flipbac's affordable G4 grip, the latest addition to their product line. It's specifically designed to fit the Nikon J1 and V1, and has a notch in the back to fit over the V1's marginally useful "tube" grip on the front fascia. The grip is solidly made, and attaches easily but firmly to the camera using 3M adhesive; just peel off the backing, (carefully!) position the grip and press down. Done. I left it overnight to cure, but the instructions don't say you have to wait. It's a very inexpensive way to improve your camera's ergonomics. The only thing I would change is to make a future version slightly longer (or taller as the case may be), to accomodate the variety of "heights" at which people's fingers would grasp the front of any given camera. Highly recommended.
