Life saver
I just got a custom Weld Craft 1444 modified vee jon boat with the works. Brand spanking new. Love it! Spent two days adding a bunch more accessories: ladder, fish finder, pop up cleats, etc. I then go to put my 65 lb trolling motor on the transom (we have electric only lakes around here), and the transom brace on the boat is too fat and goes all the way up the transom such that the trolling motor bracket won’t fit properly over the transom! I panicked. I called Weld Craft, and they said they didn’t know it would just be for a trolling motor, yet specifying that wasn’t an option on the distributors page with the list of features to select, so how could I have known in advance that I had to provide that info.? They suggested cutting the transom brace down. No way. This bracket saved the day. It fits perfect with room to spare, and I will leave it installed. Bonus: now I can put the trolling motor on and take it off over and over without scuffing the transom paint. Awesome product, and very well built! Couldn’t be more pleased.

Simple solution to mounting a trolling motor
So far, it's perfect. I've been trying to figure out how to properly mount my trolling motor up front without having to build a deck (which really wouldn't work on my boat). Clamps perfect to the side, motor sits great on it. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars (yet) is because I've seen other reviews where they say it starts coming loose using more than a 30lbs motor and I've got a 50. I anticipate it holding though, it feels just as solid as it can be. I just need to finish some wiring and I'll test it out (hopefully) tomorrow or the next day and will update

Had to get creative but great concept!
I haven’t used this on the water yet but it’s a great concept and solid mount. I have a 150 Boston Whaler Super Sport and it’s got about 1/4” too much for the mount to work. I didn’t want to mess with drilling into the fiberglass so really wanted the mount to work. I ended up taking an oscillating multi tool and shaving down the lip on the back edge; if I didn’t I would have had to cut into my rub rail. It was still a tight fit but I wedged it in and once it was on I was able to tighten it down well. This is great for a bass boat or something similar, definitely needs a little ingenuity if you have something closer to the maximum width of the mount. I would definitely recommend this product one way or another.

Makes electric trolling motor shaft be perpendicular to the water
Mostly happy with the purchase. It brings the motor up about 2”+ from gunnels. Works fine if I’m the only one in the boat, but if my son is in front and I’m out back, prop will cavitate on full throttle (it’s a function of too short of a shaft (40”). I do wish it was smaller, and lower profile, but can’t complain to much. I didn’t have the motor clamped tight enough at first, and it slid on the grip tape, I tightened it a bit more and all was good. So much better to get that motor off the rear and shift the weight to the bow, even though it’s only about 30#, the boat is 12’, with a 9.9hp tiller.

works great for motors under 30lbs of thrust
the all plastic build is concerning, i have a 40lb mini kota that when going fill tilt likes to come off, i do have this mounted on the side of a tracker 14, I recommend tapping some screws about 1 inch to hard mount your trolling motor to the mount.

Terrible Customer Service Return Procedures
Purchased 2 of these mounts, but only meant to buy 1. The seller shipped both in two separate boxes which cause return issues. Due to fitting issues with my existing trolling motor mount the Eazy Mount did not work and to be honest the mount is not even needed if you have decent mount that comes with your existing trolling motor. The quality of the Eazy Mount is not that great. Just be advised the seller gave me a very difficult time in returning the 2 Eazy Mounts that were ordered and they were never used. In fact, 1 box was never opened. Bottom line is buyer beware!
