WHEN YOU JUST WANT A HAMMER!
When you need a hammer and you don't want all the fancy hand grips and extra long handles, the Edward Tools Oak Claw Hammer 16 oz is the hammer you need for all normal uses. The handle is extremely solid and the quality is rated #1 of all wooden hammers I've used. The ONLY thing that I see that could be slightly improved is the handle's grip feature could be a little bit deeper so that the hand can hold onto it better. The engraving grip needs to be about 1/32nd of an inch deeper on both sides of the handle to allow the skin of the hand to grip it better but otherwise it's perfect for driving the nails into any project. I highly recommend the Edward Tools Oak Claw Hammer 16 oz for any home or construction project. (See high resolution photos for quality visual detail.)

Seems up to the task
Note: it will blacken a thumb just as well as any other hammer if you hit you thumb with it. Seems fine. Casting is smooth. Handle was clear grain wood and no wiggle to the head. Should pound nails just fine.

Overall well made product.
I have purchased these hammers for recognition gifts to some individuals whom have gone the distance to help out on events and projects when needed. The overall look, sturdiness and price point was great. I haven't actually used it to try it out, however I think the men are going to really appreciate them. Thanks.

I think you'll be pleased, I have been
This is a great hammer, fits nice in the hand, seems very sturdy, and starts out nice and shiny. The advantage of new stuff is that it is pretty and in some cases works better, old stuff has the even greater advantage of having a story to tell. Excited to start building the stuff that will give them stories and life.
