Microsoft Surface Go 24W Charger - 15V 1.6A Power Adapter for Surface Go 3/2/1, Pro 4/5, Laptop Core m3 Tablet Travel Case

This charger does the job! It's compact and easy to pack, perfect for travel. I've been using it with my Surface Go 3 and it keeps it charged up no problem.

My original power was charging only intermittently. I think it got damaged with use and had some broken wires. I ordered this replacement just before it completely stopped working. This seems to be as good quality as the original although it is somewhat shorter. I would buy again.

I ordered this charger for my Surface Pro 4. I travel often and use my Surface Pro on the Road. I ordered this charger because it was very small and compact. I love it. Several weeks ago my husband original charger for his Surface Pro went bad so we order this product for this devise. Both chargers are holding up and preforming quite well.

Not all the chargers for the Surface Pro are the same. If you have a Core i5, Core i7 version, you get a different, higher power charger with a USB adapter that lets you charge your phone from the same power brick. But the base models, with Core m3 processors, use a much less power-hungry processor and have lower power demands. So Microsoft bundles a much smaller and more travel-friendly power brick with those versions.This is basically an exact copy of that smaller adapter. It is about half a millimeter larger than the original, and the power cord for the original is about 8 inches longer. There is a little bleed of light around the power/charging light when it is on, suggesting it is of fractionally lower quality than the original. But it charges the Surface Pro 5 (2017) m3 just fine, and is otherwise apparently identical to the factory charger in every other way. Unlike the factory charger, it comes in a nice, small little case perfect for traveling with.So can you use this if you have one of the higher end versions of the Surface to save size/weight when traveling? I suppose you could, but realize it will charge very slowly. Microsoft gets away with this lower power charger only because the m3 processor pulls power far more efficiently than the i5 and i7. This charger is rated at 15 volts, 1.6 amps (or 24 watts).

This is an excellent product, especially for traveling. The prongs fold in, the cord folds up and the whole thing zips easily into an attractive carrying case that comes with it. I own three of these and have never had a problem.
