Unfortunately when we got this, we found the trumpet has been lost!! When we find it we will know how well it works, but I am sure it is fine!!

Helps to keep the volume down but not that much

this mute does absolutely nothing to mute the sound of the trumpet. I played with it in and then took the mute out, while still playing the note and there was no change in the volume.
