Amazing model/toy - very complex!
Scale: This toy is modeled on large construction vehicles that turn into individual robots or one giant robot. It should be bigger than automobile-robots of a similar scale, and it is! For collectors seeking a giant robot that is comparatively huge, this is a monster! (The top of the head is over 15 inches). It towers over comparable toys and really stands out in a collection.Complex: This is not a toy for small children. Even long-time fans of robots that convert into vehicles will have a hard time with this item, even though the direction booklets are included and they are generally pretty clear. Changing each vehicle to a robot is a time-consuming challenge, but the reward is so worth it!Detail: These characters look really good. Toys based on cartoons like these may never have looked so good! The construction vehicles have nifty proportions and are posable. The robot forms are likewise very posable, detailed, and authentically look cool - action figures! Some of the parts are made of translucent orange plastic, meaning backlighting can make the eyes seem to glow! The giant robot form has very well-articulated hands and there is an LED inside the head that lets the eyes glow red! Everyone in our home who saw the glowing eyes was thrilled.Fragile??? There are many very small tabs and fittings on these guys. After turning the toys from construction equipment, to robots, and back, and then into the giant robot, nothing broke. Phew! There were several movements that seemed to stress key joints some movements in the process really created fear that the plastic would break. Since most collectors will just have the giant robot on display, it should last a long time (and it is more stable and posable than many similar toys) - but this set has such impressive sculpting that it really seems a shame to leave some of the other forms neglected.Summary - Not just satisfied, but thrilled and amazed. This is a really complicated and potentially fragile model/toy, but it really dazzles and the price was far better than anything from comparable toy makers.

One of the best Devastator sets out there.
This Devastator set is one of the best you can get without paying $200+. It has more detail than the officially licensed Combiner Wars Devastator, with lots of hidden surprises. The crain/club alone has two hinge joints and an extendable handle. The fingers are fully articulated at each joint. Each constructicon has a blaster that fits into a hollow area for storage while in vehicle mode. While lacking a large blaster for the gestalt Devastator form, this can be easily forgiven because everything else you get is so awesome. Even the box it comes in is covered with awesome artwork, foil, and embossing, making it an excellent shelf display piece. One warning though, some of the smaller joints, like Bonecrusher's (the bulldozer ) foot 'heels' feel very flimsy, as if they're ready to snap off with the lightest touch. This is not a figure for children. It takes a light touch but also some force to transform these figures, sometimes to the point where you think you might break them. But the six individual transformation instructions are easy to understand, and with patience and finesse you should have no trouble with this set. And as a bonus, there's a lot of detail to paint and panel lines to ink if you're into customizing your transformers. Highly recommend for the adult collector. This Devastator set makes the bigger-than-life toy that only exists in your childhood nostalgia a reality.

I would recommend
This is a great set, for the money. Yes, there are some quality control issues, and the robot modes are mediocre (that's the reasons it's not 5 star). However, the vehicle and devestator modes are amazing. It's a really big and fun addition.

Really Good Set. But Arms are loose when combined.
I was actually surprised at how large each figure was. They're about the same size as a Voyager figure like the Bumblebee Movie Soundwave or ROTF Long Haul. Not complaining about that but I was surprised. Each Figure looks amazing in either form though one weird thing is at least two had their instructions backward. Going from robot to vehicle even though they come packaged as vehicles. It's easy enough to read backward but still odd. Even their combined form looks amazing but I did notice one flaw. Where the arm pieces join to the combined body are not that tight and fall out easily. I'm sure it's to make it easier to form the combined form as the legs are the opposite and are very tight. It's not a huge deal since short of it leaning back they won't fall out but it's worth noting. They all stand very well and the combined form is sturdy and doesn't fall over easily. It even is poseable if you are patient. Definitely recommend it for collectors.

Joints aren't robust and will break
Size of the toy is good, and plenty of components to interest an 8 year old, but poor quality and fitment of rotating parts mean early and frequent breakage of fragile joints is inevitable.

Absolutely Awesome!
Simply put, absolutely awesome! The only weak point is Bonecrusher’s legs, the hip is extremely weak and one broke. Fix easy enough. Took downstairs to my man cave, drilled a small hole into the joints with my Dremel and inserted a small brass rod that instantly fixed the problem. Transformation into robot and Devastator are both easy and not many steps, just really fidgety the first time until you figure out where goes what. And speaking of Devie himself, he is HUGE, this is good and bad. Good cause he is big and really attract attention. Bad cause he’s heavy and can be wobbly if not posed right. Overall, worth it cause this thing is worth every penny. My youngest love it. But he mostly like them in vehicle mode so he can crush his Hot Wheels. Wait till he’s older and realize Devastator can really crush some cars!

So Awesome
Are you kidding me this is awesome. Everything I could have ever wished for as a kid. It displays beautifully and more than I could have hoped for. Super excited to display this in my toy room next to some of my other Transformers . I just cant stop thinking about how cool it looks. The best version I've seen. Buy it, you will love it.
