Great product except for the insulated knob
Terrific kettle, and it does boil water very fast. After a year of use, the issue is the knob for the lid. The lid itself is very, very tight fitting. Probably a very good thing for safety concerns. This means you need to really pull up on the filling which stresses the knob. The first one broke in 2 weeks. I took one off the discarded kettle, it went a full 11 month more. What happens is the bolt attaches to an insert embedded in the knob. Eventually, this insert breaks free and no amount of glue will keep it from reoccurring.

Almost Perfect but the Lid is a Problem
I bought this kettle to replace a revereware kettle that was on its last legs. The spot weld that held the whistle on had broken. This kettle offers several advantages over the one that it replaced.1. It is louder when wistling2. It is much faster to bring the water to a boil. It has much more surface area facing the stove burner.3. Its handle is not has hot. I used to have to use a pot holder with the Revere kettle. Not with this one.4. Its nice and shiny, but so was the Revere when it was new. There are a couple of negatives.1. the lid is very difficult to get off. I know it has to fit tight to keep the steam from hitting your hand when you pick it up but the fit is very tight which makes it difficult to open. This might be a big issue for an older person with arthritis.2. The knob on the top is only attached with a self tapping screw from under the lid. It came off the other day when I was trying to open the kettle to fill it. I reassembled it but after a day the knob is loos again. Maybe the heat it is exposed too softens the plastic of the knob I think I will drill a hole all the way through the knob and use a stainless steel bolt to attach it to the lid.A little more attention the lid details would make this a five star product.

Good Value! Cute & functional with a couple minor drawbacks
Overall, I really like this tea kettle. It's cute, holds plenty of water, has a wide bottom and looks great sitting on my stove. It functions perfectly, whistling on cue and loudly enough that I can hear it over the noise of my four bed-headed kids eating their breakfast as I make my daily hot lemon drink. I especially like the pouring function--you press the lever underneath the handle to open the spout. My only concern is that after a couple of weeks of use I'm seeing what looks like 'burn' spots developing on the side of the pot, possibly from flames hitting it from my gas stove burners (see attached pictures). It also requires a bit of extra TLC to keep water/grease spots at bay, but since it is stainless I suppose that is to be expected.Overall, for the price, I'm very pleased with this item and would recommend it!

Sleek design - Be cautious with flat top stoves
I ended up giving this to a friend as it was scratching my flat top stove. It ships in its actual box and that was very damaged when i got it but kettle was in good condition. I love the metal look and it’s very lightweight and easy to handle, but I did not think out the flat top - just be cautious so it doesn’t scratch the top. If you live alone and have no one moving this in your stove, this should be fine for you.

The inside began to rust at the seam.
The kettle heats up. water fast, but the handle is clumsy, and much of the heat is transferred into it. If you don't fully open the pour spout with the trigger it can pour sideways, which can be dangerous. After a year, the seam inside began to rust. Don't cheap out. Buy something better.

Great size
This is a nice kettle however it stains from water boiled inside of it and I am boiling filtered water. It’s a good size for making multiple cups of tea, nice shiny finish on the outside of it.

Sadly, it rusted quickly, and screw on the cap stripped.
I've bought this kettle a year and a half ago. Within 6 months the inside started rusting and then the screw on the removable lid, that holds the black ball stripped, so I couldn't open it. Unfortunate, because it looks really nice, did a great job heating water quickly and the whistle was very loud. To expensive to replace every 6 mo.

Looks great, and heats up faster than other kettles
I love this kettle. It looks great and i leave it out on display all the time (unlike my old one which was always hidden away in the cupboard between uses). The large base makes for a faster boil as the heat covers a larger area. The whistle is loud enough that i can hear it from another room but its not too high pitched that its annoying. The lid and gap are kinda small so it's not the easiest to clean the inside, but since you should only be using it for water, it should only need a soapy water rinse and occasional descale.
