vastly superior to the frixion pen
The Parkoo thermochromic ink 0.5 mm color pens are vastly superior to the frixion pens: 1. Though no one to my knowledge has commented on it, they appear to have solved the ink-running-out issue by putting a gel above the ink. I am seeing much longer ink lifetimes compared to frixion- will update once they finally run out of ink. 2. Colors are in my opinion extremely vibrant compared to frixion. Pink is brilliant. Do other users agree?? 3. Ink volume is visible through the pen at least for the first part. Frixion is not visible. A nice detail. 4. Ink volume left is fully visible if you take the body of the pen out; frixions are more opaque, hard to tell whats left. 5. I find the wide design and soft grip more comfortable than frixion pens 6. 0.5 mm pens are very fine; maybe <0.5 mm. That's a big deal for me when grading lab reports 7. Ink flow seems greater than frixion but about right- no blobs formed or irregular line diameters. Hold the pen on the paper at the end of a line and no ink accumulation occurs. Same for frixion ball pens but good to see. I would say ink flow is higher than frixion ball 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm which can be fainter as a result. Frixion 0.38 mm has major issues- so sharp it cuts into the paper and total ink volume is so low they may run out of ink in days. I find frixion 0.7 mm, which is all that is available at staples, to be too thick for my applications. 7. Only minor issue is some might find that the glide when writing is a tiny bit scratchy...does anyone else notice this for the 0.5 mm pens? It is so minor it doesn't bother me but I do notice it 8. Best part: being Chinese knockoffs (Xiamen, China I believe from the phone number) these are $1.11 each for a set of 9, and that's for a retractable pen. Way cheaper than frixion pens. Parkoo if you are reading this I would be happy to proofread your website and any other writing you have to make sure the translation to English is smooth.

Nice ink
Saturated writing capability. Erases well, but, I have to check, ink might not erase after being there for sometime.

DO NOT LEAVE IN A HOT CAR
I like these pens, I remember the old erasable pens, they were ok, but they were lacking. Something in the ink, the eraser, not sure but they didn't do it for me. These new ones are great, writes smooth, easy, looks good. A little tougher to erase but you need to generate heat to remove the ink. But it's a nice pen. Overall. But...don't leave your pens near a heater, heat source, hot car, etc. It was a hot stretch where I live and I ended up leaving the pen in my car. Went to use it and the pen writes great, but I can't see the ink. The heat has made my pen worthless. Just something to remember for future use.

High quality
Way better writing than the Grabbi pens!

Good erasable pens until they just break, which is apparently often.
These pens are very nice to write with and I enjoy using them. They're cheaper than Frixion while still feeling like they're quality, all the way up until they simply break on you while you're writing. I have no idea why, but I think it's because these pens are dual ballpoint pens (I believe that means there are two balls at the tip of the pen to help the ink write better) and separating these two balls is a very tiny, sharp metal pin. For whatever reason, on 3 of the 5 black pens I have used so far (This box comes with 8, I have 3 left and I only got them about two or three weeks ago) that little pin decides it wants to come out from in between the two balls and ruins the actual pen. There is no way to push the pin back into the tip, and it literally leaks ink everywhere. It is not only so sharp that trying to continue to write with it will literally tear holes into your paper, it will also leak as if you have punctured the ink cartridge yourself. TL;DR These pens are VERY useful when they choose to work, but otherwise, most of the pens I have gotten have become defunct at random times. One pen, after a few days of using them the metal pin inside the point will break out and my pen is useless, and the other two pens that broke, did so within the first few minutes of writing with them. I hope the last few of my pens stay intact, because that will be one heck of a malfunction ratio. Only two pens have worked until the of the ink, and the pin broke out of the the second pen right at the end when I was about to throw it away. It's just a very junky design and I feel jipped as I've had to toss 3 of the 8 black pens I've received, and who knows if the rest of them are going to survive.

Now the owner of two leaky “fountain” pens and counting...
I bought these pens for my daughter for her 8th birthday. For about a month she was very excited to be able to write with her “rainbow pens” and simply erase. Then the reality of the quality of these pens started to settle in, as did the disappointment. It started with the black pen. The pen started to release gobs of ink, making using the color infeasible. Smudge city, and her fingers were stained black with ink, which concerned me from a health perspective. Upon closer inspection I noticed a small wire filament poking out of the tip of the pen. The filament wiggled about and with a little jostle came out. I was hopeful it was simply an impurity from the factory that got into the ink, but no dice. The pen would now literally pour ink out of the tip when held in the upright writing position. I chalked this up to a one-off manufacturing problem, and convinced my daughter to use a dark pencil in place of the black pen. It turns out I was wrong. The light blue pen exhibited literally the same issue. Gobs of ink, blue fingers and smudges everywhere. Lo and behold, the tip had the same type of metal filament protruding, and when the filament removed, blue ink flows out when the pen is held upright. My daughter is now the not-so-proud owner of two unusable pens. I’m expecting the remainder of the pens to conk out in the same way, and for her to experience more disappointment as the result of my decision to buy this product. These issues occurred in the span of less than 3 months, which is of course, outside the return window but well within the life expectancy for a set of pens... I don’t write many reviews, but I wanted to share my experience in case it helps others.

Almost Better than Frixion with a Fatal Flaw
I wanted so badly to love these pens. I don't know if the issue I'm having is a defect in my set or if it's just the way the pens are made, but I can't use them. I ordered the set of 8 black + 1 red + 1 blue. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the ink. It's darker than Frixion and erases even cleaner on most papers, which is a huge bonus. BUT.. and it's a serious but. Something about the way the pens are designed causes the ink cartridge to wiggle in the barrel, and if I turn the pen a certain way, it hangs and won't write. It just skips on the paper and wiggles around in the barrel instead of actually writing. I know it might seem weird but it's the best way I can explain it. When I'm writing, I have to make sure I'm holding the pen in JUST the right way so it doesn't wobble inside the barrel so badly that I can't use it. So far, it's been every pen in the box that I've tried. Hopefully I got a defective set and this isn't the pen's design. If this IS the pen's design, the company should take some time to reevaluate their product because I frankly can't write with it. I want to love it. It's almost perfect... but I can't use it. :(
