when I opened them to wash them in warm soapy water, one of them had flakes or powder inside from something. I dumped it out and there was some kind of "stain" in the metal that didn't wash off. I don't think it makes the jar unusable, but it didn't come in pristine condition. The other jar was perfect and will work well for a stash jar. I really like that you can adjust the size of the containers depending on what you need. A little disappointed that the quality control didn't catch the blemish inside the one jar. I even bought these after the price had gone up almost a dollar for the two. Pictures included.After contacting the company and notifying them of the problem, they shipped me two more stash jars even though only one was defective. They were easy to contact, work with and the company made good on my order.

These jars are durable and air tight, which is great! They are convenient to carry, although they would be noticeable in a pocket. They are fairly large, and can fit a lot of herb, but not bulky. The middle piece is removable, which is great since for most purposes the full size is excessive. They also aren't obvious stash jars; just generic looking metal containers.This isn't a complaint so much as a suggested improvement, but it would be better if the middle portion had a bottom. That would keep the herb fresh longer and be more convenient.

The taller "perfect" version of these are really poorly made. The screw on top DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY.No matter how hard you tighten it, the top will not screw all the way down. So the edge of the cap and gasket are exposed. This problem is not there on the medium sizes, which are the same diameter. I am not sure if it will properly keep my stuff fresh.In addition to this, the finish of the bottom half of the product does not match the top. Not a huge deal, but doesn't look great.

I got this as a gift, and they are currently in the mail again heading to my friend. I did disassemble them, and wash them before sending them off. They seem to be well made, and appear to seal tight. I have no idea how well they will be "Smell Proof", but they look like they'd do a good job if the Outside of the Container Is Well Cleaned After Filling. I also liked the fact that you can make a smaller Container out of it. I only gave it a 4 Star Rating because I won't know how well it actually does as a far as being A Smell Proof Container, until my friend tells me how she likes it. But I did like how they were made, and think they'd do a good job for whatever your needs might be for them.

I bought these to store pungent herbs in without smelling them outside of the container. While these are very well made, I have no doubt waterproof and I like the stackable feature they did not keep the aroma in. Even in the cabinet you can smell the contents with the door shut just walking by.

Good product for the price. If you order the 2 pack you can stack 2 of the middle compartments together to get a deeper container and still have a medium container leftover. The biggest issues I found was the the O rings. They do seem to be on the thin side. Luckily, you can find them at most hardware stores, but make sure they are food grade or at least oil free.

I brought these for a friend who was getting in trouble cause everyone could smell the herb in his backpack. These are not airtight as advertised. The odor is still very strong. They're also very small and awkward to use as they need to be unscrewed. Try the kitchen herb jars that you push to seal and open.

I ordered a couple of the small and liked them so much I picked up a couple of the large. One of the large containers has a pretty decent length deep cut in it on the inside. When I noticed that I looked again at the small ones and it seems there are small blemishes on the inside of all of them. This doesnt seem to affect the function of the container whatsoever. I still like them a lot!
