Good quality Multi functions
This is a wonderful item to ha e dor emergencies. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it works and how many features it has. The radio is clear, the flashlight is good and it even has a siren. Cranking it is easy and no need for batteries. You do need an adapter to charge newer phones.

Best emergency kit purchase!
I bought several of these for an earthquake kit making party I threw in my apartment complex. We all tested them at the party and everything worked as it should. One user said it does not charge IPhone 3 or 4 but we all charged ours just fine. Not only does it work just as described but the price on amazon is a fraction of the price you would pay at the hardware store. I saw this in my local hardware for $99! Would definitely recommend this for house/car/camper emergency kit. Bonus that you don't have to buy batteries and it's not big and bulky.

I bought it for the radio and light. Radio is a little hard to tune but that's expected. The siren is not really loud at all though. Overall I'm happy it will be great for camping but I bought it for emergency puposes.

Ready America makes America Ready
You hope never to be in a situation where you would need to use this, but if that happens (I know, never say never) then you WILL want this power gem of a multi functioning flashlight handy. It's not tiny, but that's more then okay, as you want a sturdy item in an emergency . . . something that feels and looks like it will hold up well. I tested it immediately after the flashlight arrived, and it's all in good working order, and even picked up radio stations as advertised. I bought two, and keep one in my car for emergencies.

get ready to do some cranking
A must have for all emergency kits. It is well designed and well excuted. It does charge a phone but were not talking about full charge were talking like enough charge to make an emergency call. The light gets super bright and the alarm is very loud! The radio doesn't fine tune to stations but you can pick up enough to know what is happening in your local area. The atenna does help the radio to comein clearer. I have this on top of the fridge for power outages and I will orderr two more one for each car. I reccomend to anyone who is starting to build an emergency kit or looking to suppliment the one they already have.

Perfect for Emergencies
I bought this for my emergency kit and recently took it camping just in case and also to try it out. It works great if you don't want to buy batteries for a radio flashlight combo but honestly I would rather just have that. On the other hand It does what it says and is good quality.

Seems to be easy to wind and nice and light. Wish it was waterproof and does not seem to charge my phone after a minute of cranking. Also you have to use the strange adaptors included to charge things.
