5.5" Large Analog Alarm Clock Silent Non Ticking, Gentle Wake, Beep Sounds, Increasing Volume, Battery Operated Snooze and Manual Light, Easy Set, Black (Best for Elder)

I purchased this clock for a relative who is a senior. She has very poor vision and could not see a wall clock across her room. It is very easy to read with large numbers and clear black & white definition of numbers and minute/hour hands. It is much easier to read than a digital clock since even if a person can't see the numbers, she/he will be able to see the hands and know approximately what time it is. Digital numbers can look alike with blurred vision so this is a great alternative. It is basic with set time, set alarm, turn alarm on/off controls on the back. It is silent which is important for anyone who is bothered by a ticking clock. The biggest negative for me is that the labels on the controls are very hard to read and are small. This probably is not a big issue for 95% of users but for someone with poor vision it requires a magnifying glass or for someone else to do it for them. That's why I gave "easy to use" 4 stars instead of 5. It is large so I wouldn't consider this a travel clock. It's lightweight though so I gave it 3 stars for that category. Clock arrived on time and in good packaging too. FYI it needs a AA battery which is not included.

Large numbers,easy to read

Bought this for my 92 year old dad. Yes, it is a great clock for seniors with the big numbers and increasing loud alarm. However, I dropped a star because the labels on the back for the alarm, time and on/off are raised plastic lettering, the same color as the clock, black. I myself had trouble seeing what was what so I used my handy labelmaker and make labels (black on white) for the various things. Much better.

I was looking for a retro-style alarm clock for my nightstand as I try to move away from relying on my phone to wake up — and this one fits the bill perfectly. I really like the classic look, and it has just the right features without unnecessary extras. One small but thoughtful touch: tapping the snooze button lights up the clock face, which is great for checking the time at night without being too bright. I also appreciate that the alarm starts off gently and gradually increases in volume, so it’s not an abrupt jolt awake. It’s exactly what I expected — no frills, no surprises, and that’s what I wanted. Solid little clock.

This clock has everything going for it. Easy to read at night even without my glasses. Easy to set. Silent -- no ticking. Only one AA cell. The plastic molding on the case seems to be of much better quality than I normally see in Chinese products. It has a gradual-rise alarm that resets to snooze easily. When it is full-on, it's very loud. The OFF/ON switch in the back can easily be set by feel only. It's attractive enough that it would make a good desk clock as well. And the price is very reasonable. The only caveat would be durability. Most of my Chinese bedside clocks fail after only two or three years by becoming only interminttently reliable. The snooze usually goes first, so it might be the switches. But mine is new, so a few years will have to go by to find that out.

Ran for about 10 hours and the hands stopped moving. But because it is NOT "silent" you know something is running thanks to the noise it still makes despite the hands not working. Tried different new batteries, still no hands. Made a video and threw it out. Bought a different clock.

It works well for my mother with limited vision and is simple to set. The downside is the battery cover falls off easily and needs to be taped down.

It's easy to see. It is very correct.
