Olympia Tools 38-695 2 Pack Magnetic Vise Jaw

After trying a different brand that broke when the vise was tightened enough to stop a part from moving I bought these. The aluminum works well not damaging parts but holding tight. I have not used the other set but believe they will be good for internal motorcycle fork pieces.

Bought these to assist in assembling AN fittings on race car fuel lines. The black reinforced plastic jaws hold well and does not mar the anodized finish on the fittings. Magnets could be a little stronger, but very nice product!

These work well, help to prevent marring the items you're clamping in the vice. The magnets are quite strong, though they can slip if you don't tighten the vise enough, or apply pressure on the workpiece in certain directions. Make sure you check the approximate distance of the magnets to ensure they will work on your vice jaws.

I dont see how you could beat these for the price. You get a set of soft jaws and a set of rubber jaws for one low price. They came in a nice retail type package, and fit nicely. They grip securely and dont move in use. The magnets are sufficiently strong so that they stay secured during use and will not marr the vise or work. They have about a 1/8" shelf in the top, which allows clamping of parts by the minimum required for a secure hold. In practice, this allows much better repeatability when taking parts in and out during operations, as it indexes back to the same place each time rather than just holding it somewhere in the jaws. These are not precision ground or advertised as such, so they should not be expected to be a precision tool. They are for holding work you wish not to dent/scratch as you work. Overall, I am very impressed with these for the price. If you are shopping for a set of jaw guards to keep from marking parts as I was, these will fit the bill nicely I think. I dont think you can beat them at the price point for two sets of jaws.

This is a great tool and great to have in everyone shop and tool box. Very durable and a great price.

I’ve got another couple sets of jaws for my vise, these work well for fabrication and repair of aluminum. However they lack in quality of the finished product. They are good cheap vise jaws. Magnets aren’t seated very well, the aluminum appears to be somewhat unfinished, but safe to handle. Good cheap jaws. I wouldn’t recommend building AN or hydraulic lines using these, they work well for fabrication, and repair.

Missed the return window because I had not tried these out until months after I bought them. These jaw covers are absolute garbage. Weak magnets, the design causes them to constantly move and come off with the slightest bit of pressure, defeats the purpose considering these are meant to be used with items you do not want to scratch or damage with too much pressure. Useless covers.

Well constructed, and works well. I recommend this. Some have commented about some of the magnets coming loose. That's not a big deal. Should they come loose, just use a dab of some superglue or epoxy and glue them back into place.

Well built and designed, includes a plastic and aluminium pair of soft jaws with magnets, fixes well to a standard 5" drill press vice.

Outils polyvalent, d'utilisation simple et rapide à installé. À noté qu'il peux y avoir un petit décalage entre les stries des deux mâchoires, comme celles-ci peuvent se mouvoir sur les mâchoires d'aciers de l'étau, cela ne pose pas réellement problème. Satisfait de mon achat.

Quedaron a la perfección en mi tornillo y lo que mas me gusta es que es muy fácil removerlos por los imanes que tienen, muy recomendables
