Plastic mostly, but held my Samsung s11 with a Defender case on it on flat surface with no tipping up to certain height. The little remote worked well and was easy to sync to bluetooth. Remote battery life will depend on how much you use it. If you don't use for long period, check and get new battery before a trip. Not the best for selfie stick, if phone is heavy!!!

We used this for a trip overseas with extended family. I was worried about us being able to find someone to take our pictures all together so I bought this to do group photos with. It certainly did the trick. The tripod is stable and easy to place. The remote works well and from a pretty decent distance, too. The last place we used it we were probably 15-20 ft from the tripod and the remote worked fine. We set it up on stone, and grass. On really uneven grass we used a backpack to prop it up against, and that worked well. We were really pleased with it! We got all the pics we wanted. It folds down to a really manageable size, my hubby carried it in his inside jacket pocket almost the whole trip. The only downfalls I could find are when you put the phone in, sometimes if you're trying to adjust it you accidentally can pop it out and that it doesn't automatically pair with your phone, even after initial pairing. So we would get all set up for a picture and it wouldn't be connected. Not a major fault by any means, but we did have to remember to pair it every time. Overall, I think this was well worth the money and got us all the pictures together (and selfies) that we wanted. I have never owned a selfie stick before this one, but I would think if I were to nitpick that maybe it could be longer, but it was definitely doable and we used it a lot! Great buy!

Light weight for its size. I love how you can change it from landscape to portrait mode. My only complaint is that it is a little wobbly. My phone in its case is pretty thick and heavy and it's able to be held just fine. The remote is reliable and easy to setup. I'd recommend this overall if you're looking for a great travel selfie stick.

I have two of these, one I leave in the car, and one I just got to take on vacation with us. This is the most compact and versatile stand I have seen yet. The remote connects so easily to my iPhone and makes taking family photos easy. If you are out in nature and don't have anyone else to ask to take the picture this is great. The tripod feature adjusts very easily for grounds that are not even.If you want compact and worth your money, this is the stand!

I probably shouldn't be complaining for a price tag of $13 after coupon. The selfie stick works as expected. Bluetooth is easy to setup, connectivity is quick and stable. The tripod base is sufficiently wide to place it on a flat surface. The telescopic stick when fully extended is not sturdy at the top, the telescopic section one before the top most section rotates by about 10 degree making the phone tilt. May be my unit is defective, and hope the manufacturer reads this and offers a replacement.The remote control clicks in place, but it feels like it may fall off. Be careful to make sure it is properly put in place. Because of poor sturdiness, I have rated versatility as below average.

It is a size of my hand and light, somehow kinda cheap made.. But, it does the job right. I have other selfie stick which is cheaper and heavier. For me, It really not make much difference on strong build vs cheap made. I wanted something light weight to keep in my outfit jack on the go all time.This one is not great for self defense, if you have a second use of this selfie stick in mind.The mirror on the selfie stick is a nice feature, but I dont have a use for it.The remote is easy to pair and easy to take photo or shoot video. It doesnt really lock in its place, so be sure to push in firmly when restore the remote control. It does have a stopper to preventing remote fly off. Best of all, no app is needed to use the remote.The grip on the cell part is A+. It holds very well on my iPhone 6 plus even with screen cover type case not removed. The angle adjustment is strong. My cell phone didnt get tilt down while I was testing it.The tripod mode, its hit or miss. It is not ideal to use it at full height, I found not reliable because my cell is heavy and the selfie stick is light weight, it wobbles when you push it. At half height, it is solid.
