How do I cook this rice? I tried it, came out Mushy

rule of thumb to cook rice. measure the rice and water. it is a 1:2 ration. if you are using 1 cup rice , use 2 cups water. first wash rice in water three times and throw the water away . then measure rice and water 1:2 ratio and let it come to a full boil for at least 5-7 minutes. once it has been boiling on high flame for 5-7 minutes, reduce heat to a very low cover lid and let is cook for another 15-20 minutes. use a double paper towel to cover the pan under lid to absorb any excess moisture.

does this rice has long grain and after boiling the grain still long?

Yes, if you boil it half cooked and drain the water and steam for the rest of the cooking, the grain will be longer than any other basmati rice that I have ever tried.

Yummy rice

Had never tried any basmati rice until I bought a small bag of another brand at the grocery store. I knew I could get a better deal at Amazon. I did not soak it, I washed it three times until water was fairly clear, and I cooked it in my rice cooker the way I did any other rice, and it turned out perfect. It had a wonderful aroma, nice long grains, real fluffy rice, not sticky. I will be purchasing more of this. Wonder if it comes in a whole grain too. Try it, you won't be disappointed in any way. Wish I had found out about how good it is before now.
