These are very well made and durable. That's why they got 5 stars from me.However, I was looking for something that would fit flush into the tripod port on my camera so I could then attach a clip to it and carry it on my neck strap. These protrude about a half inch and as a result they keep the battery/card slot from opening completely.I recommend examining your needs carefully with respect to the design of your camera and the dimensions of these adapters.

Hard to tighten in going to screws with Allen heads these need to be tight or camera starts turning on tripod or worse comes loose and falls

I'm sure these screws are just fine for most other tripods/quick release plates. Just not ones with a narrow slide.I have a Magnus VT-3000 tripod with a narrow gap on the back of the quick release plate, so while the screw would fit in, it wouldn't have been able to be tightened at all because the opening of my quick release plate is too narrow.Not the manufacturer's fault. I should've checked beforehand!
