Suspenseful and sexy, this novella was fantastic!
Silent Bite is 8 ½ story in author Tina Folsom’s Scanguards Vampires Series as well as the 4th novella in the 1,001 Dark Nights Series. I’m a huge fan of vampires and had been looking forward to this story and it was fantastic.Oliver and Ursula come from two very different worlds. Sure, he’s a new vampire and she’s still human but besides that, Ursula’s family is Chinese and her parents believe in their traditions. Normally that wouldn’t cause too much of a headache except during a wedding, which is exactly what they are in town for. Ursula and Oliver’s wedding. Let the wedding stress begin! Of course adding the whole “my fiancée is a vampire” thing into the mix is bound to make things just a tad more stressful than the usual “what color taffeta should we use for the table runners” stress. And it does. As if that wasn’t all enough, someone is lurking in the shadows, determined to kidnap Ursula and consume the blood that is calling to him. Will their wedding go off without a hitch and will they finally be able to bind themselves together forever in blood bond union? From start to finish I loved this story. I found myself laughing, fanning myself, and gripping my e-reader for dear life at points. Ursula and Oliver weren’t only sexy to read they were also very endearing and relatable. Relatable in the sense that their attempts at keeping things from Ursula’s parents brought me right back to the many times I tried to hide things from my own parents. The panic when you think you fudged your lie or your friends not remembering what they were supposed to say and the laughter that happens when it all comes out in the end anyway. Add that to the smoking hot connection they share and oh my, they are pretty amazing. The other aspect of this story I loved was the ever-present threat that was lurking in the shadows. The threat that no one knew about apart from the reader. It’s like those horror movies when you yell “don’t go into the basement!” at the screen. It was intense, nerve-wracking, and really well done. Now, I won’t give anything away but I will tell you that the ending was beautiful and I couldn’t have asked for a better one for Ursula and Oliver. All in all, Silent Bite was the whole package. Elements of suspense, romance, sexy heat, and humor make this novella a win in my book! Thank you, Tina, for a fantastic read!

Love Scanguards
Great short story about the awesomeness that is the Scanguards Vampires. I liked learning a bit about the Chinese culture from Ursula's family and it was great to hear about the other Scanguards couples. Oliver and Ursula are so cute together even with the danger of Oliver's ever-present hunger. Can't wait for what's next with the Scanguards crew.

Tina never disapoints. What an amazing read
Tina Folsom is one of my favorite authors. I love her Scanguard series. They are all so hot. I loved Silent bite because it was a continuation of Olive and Ursula. You got to see them become one. The story was powerful. I love how Tina brought in some Chinese culture/Traditions in this story. Some of them I didn't even know about. The sex was even hot. Kind of makes me wish I fall for a vampire. I loved seeing all the characters back. I can't wait for the next Scanguards book to be released. Tina did a fabulous job. If you like paranormal make sure you check out her entire Scanguards series.

Loved this addition to the Scanguards stories!
I had not read any of the 1001 Dark Nights books, but when it was a part of the Scanguards world? I had to get my hands on it. I loved Oliver's book, but this insight to the wedding? Oh, I had to read it. I have loved all of this author's books so far, and this one does not let me down.Since the group had rounded up all the vampires who were addicted to the special blood of the Chinese girls, everyone was under the belief that that threat was behind them. Oliver has enough to worry about with Ursula's parents coming to stay at his house. How he was going to pull this wedding off without them realizing he and his friends are vampires? Or that his "parents" look only a couple years older than him.Dr. Drake had decided all the vampires that had been addicted to the blood had been rehabilitated and were no longer a threat. The last of them was released and taken to the airport to leave. When one of them catches Ursula's scent, he thinks that Scangaurds just wanted them out of the way so they could have her all to themselves. He immediately plans to abduct her and get his drug back. Things are going to get dangerous with this in the mix! Can they keep her safe? Will he be able to keep the parents in the dark? What will happen if they find out they are surrounded by vampires? Could he lose Ursula? If you love these vampires, this is a must read book for you. I loved this one as much as all the others, and I cannot wait for Cain's book. But, this book makes the wait not so bad.

Short and sweet
If you love the Scanguards Vampire series by Tina Folsom, then you should definitely read this story. It is the follow-up novella to Oliver’s Hunger. In Oliver’s Hunger, we were introduced to Ursula and her special blood. In Silent Bite, we go through the wedding prep with her parents and a former bad guy supposedly reformed who discovers that not all the girls with the special blood have been sent home and that he hasn’t been cured. Add to that, he believes the Scansguards company has screwed him big time.As with most weddings, the planning doesn’t go smoothly the moment Ursula’s parents arrive. Add to it that Oliver must stay somewhere else for the week and you’ve got one moody vampire and one moody bride to be.All of the gang is involved in this novella in one way or another and it’s a quick read and great companion to Oliver’s Hunger.Even though I knew this wasn't a full novel, I just felt like this novella was rushed and that there could have been more mystery and intrigue (like Ursula's father's illness). Regardless, I did enjoy this book.

Fantastic
It's great when a story gets an update so you know what's happening next Oliver and Ursula had a wedding day and blood bonded which we knew would happen but it was nice to read it instead of it just being mentioned in another book as with Samson and Delilah Gabriel and Maya Yvette and Haven Amaury and Nina Zane and Portia Thomas and Eddie they all blood bonded but did they have ceremonies or just the blood bond I have to confess that these are truly some of my all time favorite books I love every single one of the characters and their stories brilliant

bien
la suite de l'histoire d'Oliver avec les préparatifs de son mariage avec une humaine, et bien sûr rien ne va se passer comme prévu. Ce n'est pas mon préféré mais ça se lit.

great quick read
MY REVIEWI loved this little catch up with Oliver and Ursula after their wonderful book, and the whole wedding, families and traditions to be followed made for a very interesting read, throw in a stalker kidnap plot adding a bit of action and a little suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat.I enjoyed this book and all the mother of the bride craziness, there was no bridzilla moments just crazy mother of the bride moments, brilliant. The scanguard guys are hot hot hot, and i love their strong and capable women.I cannot wait to sink my teeth into the next scanguards book.
