I had been buying fresh patch at $40 twice a month for a year for my balcony. I live in a high-rise and this was the most convenient for early and late potty breaks. I had no idea this technology existed. I’ve had this for about two months and the powder absorbs any smell I’ve never even hosed it down. My dog does not poop on it so that helps but 10 out of 10 will keep it forever.

We live on a green belt in the Pacific Northwest and there are lots of critters in the wild ..our 5 dogs are all under 10 pounds so they cannot be outside unattended. This indoor pet loo system is the best solution we have found in 3 years and we got the BIG one so all the dogs use it easily if we can’t take them out or are gone for the day. Smell is pretty much gone from urine and these inserts make it easy easy to change. Your hands don’t have liquid spilling or anything sloppy!! Great idea, and I change mine once a week or every 10 days depending on how much we are outside with the dogs.

We live in Hong Kong, and use the Pet Loo outside under a covered open space. It has been a wonderful replacement for horrible pee pads as a place for my two small, long-haired dogs to pee when the rain precludes a proper walk. We got the large size, partly because of having two dogs, partly because one of them, a Havanese, does that crazy-making seemingly endless circling before she pees, and this gives her enough space. Being outside, where smell isn’t really so much of an issue, we don’t use the gel but simply empty the pod down the human loo and wash it out; that works more easily than trying to throw out the gel, and means that the pods are re-usable. Both dogs learned to use the Pet Loo really quickly, and it’s big enough for my male Coton de Tulear to aim without over-shooting! We’ve put a small rock on it for something to aim at. The ‘grass’ could be a bit nicer, I think, hence the one star off, but all in all we are very pleased with this and I’d recommend it to anyone who otherwise uses pee-pads as indoor or outdoor facilities in the event of being unable to venture outside properly.

It's the only way to go with the pet loo. Not perfectly draining but gets the job done. Do not let the loo get rained on or you'll be cleaning up an overflow of silica gel. You also need a bit more silica gel powder than the one scoop advertised, but not a lot more. It's an expense, but I use real grass from doggie lawn on my pet loo and it's been indespensible to me being a disabled apartment dweller. Gotta recomend it.

If you plan to use this outside just know the powder cannot support a lot of rain water and you might end up with a leaking, pee gel mess. Otherwise it works well.

We have a pet loo grass box. This fits perfectly into the urine drain ! Using these liners makes it more sanitary and the powder keeps the odor away and solidifies the waste. Cheaper than chewy !

Works well with the PetSafePetLoo system. The Wee Sponge is great. I just wish they sold the Wee Sponge separately.
