Slipstream Weapon Lubricant

Excellent product. Smooths out overall function, I don't clean my pistols as often as most people do, but mine always stay lubed and in excellent working condition. I use their grease on bolt action lugs with a thin coating on the bolt, works great.

I've read some negative reviews on here, and I have not experienced ANY of the problems the reviewers are reporting. Perhaps the company changed the formula since MY bottle (which reads "STYX" and came straight from Crusader Weaponry). But I use this on my high-end 1911's, which have the tightest slide-to-frame fit of any pistol out there. If ANY gun was going to exhibit a failure from bad lubricant, it would be these...and again, I have had zero issues with Slipstream. Yes, the graphite nano particles separate from the carrier solution when its sits, but that's why there is a ball bearing in the bottle...you have to mix it WELL before you use it. The same thing happens with Teflon-based lubricants like CLP. They separate and must be shaken well before use. I'm guessing the folks complaining about the Slipstream are putting WAY too much product on their guns, as I have NEVER found any "dried gunk" in over 7 years of using this product. You only need to put a tiny amount on the high-friction points of contact. I apply only one drop on the rails and use a tiny paintbrush to evenly coat. With that said, I have NOT purchase the product being sold on Amazon. The Crusader Weaponry company website is now defunct, and their phone number does not go to a company voicemail, so I'm not sure who is selling this product on Amazon or if its even legit...but the Slipstream STYX that I have is awesome!!

Recommended by Larry Correia, and man was he right. I like this stuff. Been using on multiple weapons, just a drop or two here or there. Moves like butter after that. Used some on a repair/rebuild of some very maligned and mistreated WWII era rifles and it was a huge help to get them back to a shootable and buyable condition.

Extremely slippery Product. A must for hard to cycle firearms. Cycle all guns easier, makes magazines fall out and use it in revolver cylinders and no more cases getting stuck. This is my second purchase, the first from order was from their website. Glad I found this. A little goes a very long way. Update. After using this on about 4 or pistols, I started getting all kinds of failures. Mostly light primer strikes. I also had failures where the receiver would not fully go into battery. After tearing the guns completely down, I found that this product had turned everything into a hard sticky mess. I eventually had to tear down every single gun and get the crud out. Even bought a Ultrasonic cleaner to remove it. I was originally very excited about this product. So much that I bought a second bottle that I have not opened. Maybe I can still return it. Maybe this product is good for the rails, but beware of where you place it. I ended up going back to Ballistol.

I've been around weapons for a little over 20 years now, and my lubrication choices have been based largely on trying to find something that does enough for the money to justify replacing my old reliable. Slipstream is the first product I've found that has been worth it. I tested it on a Glock 21, and was initially impressed by the change in the sound and feel of moving the slide- then I shot it. The difference is actually perceptible. It's slicker, smoother, and the weapon goes back on target slightly faster. Definitely worth the money if you're shoot a lot- or if you carry. My next step is to get the permanent treatment from Crusader Weaponry ASAP. Definitely worth the money.

It was recommended by several gun enthusiast reviewers. Tried it on my own semi-autos and bolt. Works good. On some guns I did notice the action got a little smoother. But its not magic as some of the hype would have you believe. Fairly cost effective as only a drop or two is needed for a lot of surface. The dropper is effective at conserving the fluid, no mess, no excessive lubrication, no waste. Would buy again.

The very "nanotechnology" that they boast is their best feature, is also their main detractor for me. The nano particles are pitch black; you can see this if you put the product in a transparent container, and allow it to settle. While some will judge me as being petty and focusing on something not important, how messy a product is (or is not), is important - especially when there are competing products that are not only clean, but are actually appealing to the eye and nose (Froglube). Slipstream may be a great gun lube, but I don't have to like it if everything that comes near it gets stained black.

While this is far from an inexpensive lubricant, it is worth every penny. This is my second purchase of Slipstream and it is excellent. I use it for rails and slides but others seem to use it everywhere. This is one that you can literally hear the difference.
