Gets black sharpie marker out of white clothes!
This product was an iffy for me. But I am sure glad I took the chance and ordered this product. I had inherited a bunch of clothing from my aunt who had her clothes identified by somebody writing with black sharpie where the tags usually are in the nursing home. They were excellent quality clothing and I knew somebody could use them. So I tried using my tide pen to get the stains out, and to no avail it just did not even budge in fact it's smeared the stains even worse. So after doing some research and I didn't want to touch the skirt that got the stains all over from the marker that I thought would get taken care of I looked online and found this product known as Amodex. I can't say enough good things about this product considering I had never even heard of the name before until I decided to review what gets black sharpie out of clothing. It took a little bit of scrubbing with a scrub brush and you want to use a little bit of paper towel as you're going through to soak up the stain as you use the product, but it came out within 10 minutes a whole name with at least 11 letters so think about that's about two and a half 3 in along where a tag would be. I've had it come out of all different colors of fabric White pink yellow and even blue it works with everything. In fact I think it works better than the tide pen and I am a tide pen lover. I have recommended this product to so many people especially to my friends who sell on Poshmark and mercari and need to get stains or get their clothing looking mint condition. I couldn't believe how easy, and how well it got the skirts and shirts looking brand new. After I use this product I did wash the clothing and then steamed it. I highly recommend amidex. I bought the 1 oz bottle but I wish I would have got a bigger bottle and I would probably order a bigger bottle if this is going to be your first time ordering. I hope that helps. I will update this as soon as I'm taking another stain out of product so that you guys can see the video but this is a good product.

Works on the right fabric
I had 2 (brand new) shirts ruined in the wash because I didn’t realize I had a ballpoint pen in a pocket. So I had blue smudges all over my new shirts. No one to blame but myself. I quick bought this to try to save my shirts and it did not work on my white tank top… but it did save my cream colored corduroy jacket! Which is the shirt I was more bummed about ruining. So it did save that shirt well. (Before and after pic of that attached) on that shirt it came right out in just a few swipes. The white tank top I was working at it for a longgg time to the point where the fabric was getting roughed up from trying to work out the ink (and I was being gentle about it). So it didn’t work there. But it saved my new jacket. So overall pretty pleased.

Sharpie Stains GONE!
I had never heard of this product. but I work at Trader Joe's, and carry a Sharpie and other permanent markers in my pants/shorts. More than once, I've come home to realize the cap had come off the marker, and stained my khakis. Black marker on khaki shorts is hard to disguise, and even harder to make disappear. So I did some research and saw that the New York Times' Wirecutter rated Amodex as the best solution for stains. I ordered it, but only after I had already treated the stains with a spray on stain remover and washed and dried them. This was not a smart move, since it set the stains more permanently.Upon receiving the Amodex, I noticed that the instructions emphasized "patience." I put a few drops on one of the stains, and rubbed it in with my fingers. At first I used my fingernails to scrape the stain, then used a toothbrush. I worked on the stain for maybe half an hour, and while it was definitely less noticeable, it was also definitely still there. The next day I tried again. Once in the morning, then again that night. I then hand washed the stained portion of the clothes in the bathroom sink, and today you would never know there had been a stain! The product works!Yes, some effort is required, as well as patience, (and maybe a dose of "faith,") but I have continued to follow this procedure with similar permanent marker stains, with the same success. It has removed stains that were there for weeks, and sometimes had gone through the wash several times. You should DEFINITELY try Amodex. Love it!

Makes some difference
Did not remove blue ink on white leather. It lightened it but did not remove it.

I was skeptical, but it did a great job on Sharpie
In spite of diligently checking pants pockets, I somehow sent a Sharpie through a load of laundry - both washer AND dryer. I figured it was a lost cause, but there were a couple of items (like my daughter's favorite jeans) that were essentially irreplaceable. This stuff really worked! We didn't get out every trace of the ink, but it was vastly improved - enough for her to still wear the jeans and for me to wear the new sweatpants that had been ruined. A hoodie wasn't quite as successful, but it had received the bulk of the ink and had some huge dark spots. I was still able to rescue it sufficiently to wear it running errands or similar things where I want to look presentable but I'm not worried about looking great. 5/5 overall because I honestly can't believe how much it improved the ink stains and removed many of them.Do pay attention to the directions - make sure you apply it to dry clothing, rub it in well with a clean paper towel underneath to catch bleeding ink, reapply and rewash if you don't get it on the first try, etc.

1 experience great, another not so good
Small blood stain,I didn't think it would come out, but after the wash it was gone. Another stain on a white sweater is still there. Will try again.
