Trigger pressure is adjustable. But yes pressure is what sets it off.

How large is the cuff? I have huge hands. Thx

I will say if you have large hands the trigger reach will be a challenge. My trigger barely reaches the base of my fingers. SH does not offer a longer bar for this model.
